My girlfriend thinks Monks got the shaft with only having oner model for thier main weapon, the Kama. Here is a 10 pack of new appearances for kama based weapons for all you monk lovers out there.

C) Crescent Kama (Queen Salgarns Design)

Just add this file to your Hak folder to gain access to these ingame and in the toolset. They can be found under the Kama apperance are.
Actually the Spec is created with the material options in Max, ie the Gloss and Spec strength settings... it automatically works based on the normal maps form without the need for a normal map alpha.
What the alpha in the normal map is used for is to control the overall level of the materials gloss and spec settings. Ie you can have a material with gloss of 50 and a spec of 100 which would create very harsh sharp specular highlights but you could then apply say a 50% grey to parts of your normal maps alpha to reduce or even remove the highlight entirely from areas of your texture.
Not sure if NWN2's engine does it, but in other engines its best to have a single material setting for the entire models specular and use the spec texture (or alpha) to control its strength, color etc, since this reduces the draw calls the engine has to do. ie a model with 1 set of textures but 2 different versions of material settings for that one set of textures takes twice as many draw calls as a model where it has one set of textures with one set of material settings across the entire model and its spec texture(alpha) controls the changes to spec... or at least thats how I understand it.
Even so yes, these need some spec :P

Nice pack but is in dire need of a good specular map. The specular is taken from the normal map alpha channel by the way ;)

Great job, love them all. Just wondering could someone please explain to me (and preferably how t fix it it) why when I create new kamas using these designs and save the uti files into my override that the kamas are invisible when I use the giveitem command to give them to my character in the OC. First time I've experienced this and any help I could get would be greatly appreciated.

I think they look awesome, not too cartoonish at all, I think they fit with the art style of NWN2 very well. If they looked too realistic they would appear out of place. Good work Dragon.

I have a problem when i try and dual weild the clawed gloves kama the off hand weapon comes out backwards i just wondered if you knew why and how to fix it?

Very Nice.
But I wonder if the name shouldn't be "Katar" and not "Kama". Kama's are asian weapons derived from farmer's scyte and Katar's are weapons who seems blade for the knuckle.
