EVIL EDISON'S EFREETI
By Sean Bates
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Introducing Bob the Efreeti, my first effort in custom modeling for NWN2. Click here to see Bob in action--> link
Bob began as a half-orc and underwent a great deal of cosmetic surgery--
pec and bicep implants, claw enhancement, piercings, etc. Texturing
and the basis of his normal map detail was done in ZBrush. Forgive any
minor flaws you discover since this was really a glorified learning
experiment. Please let me know if you have any major problems with Bob and
I will do my best to fix them ASAP.
Also included in this hak pak is Bob's trusty sword, Immolisar, the perfect
accessory for a flame-oriented fiend. Use at your discretion.
Special thanks to the community members who offered advice and encouragement
along the way, particularly Elysius for his tremendously helpful and inspiring
tutorial.
I did my best to create the efreeti blueprint based on the stats in the 3.5e
Monster Manual. Feel free to modify accordingly. You will NOT hurt my feelings.
Lastly, you are free to use Bob the Efreeti for any non-profit generating
enterprise. You are free to add him to any compilations as long as proper
credit is given. You are NOT free to tease him about his nipple rings.
Look forward to seeing Bob in action.
Best Regards,
Sean
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
I'm sure you know the drill, but for the record:
1. Put efreeti.hak in your C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\hak
folder.
2. In the toolset, add efreeti.hak to your module by going to View/Module Poperties and clicking
in the Hak Pak column.
Once you have added the hak pak, import efreeti.erf into your module by going
to File/Import in the toolset.
At this point you should see an entry for Efreeti in the Outsiders category of
your module blueprints. "Efreeti" will also appear as an option in the
appearances drop down of creature properties. Immolisar will appear under
Items/Weapons/Bladed/Other and is added to the efreeti blueprint by default.

Awesome! And just what I need to play Kalitharius in Oasis of the White Palm. So much for me taking time off after releasing my last project :-(

Crocodile could use Arphazon's Basilisk which was made originally by Bioware. But frogs/toads could use the rabbit model. Frogs are 1 of the 5 most common vermin, along with rats, spiders, beetles and snakes. You could put angel wings on a horse and make a pegasus or put wings on one of the cats and turn it into a sphinx, griffon or hippogriff. The community would love any creature model. We are starved for models. Anything you make would be appreciated. Big or small. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.
Mike, right now I'm limited to making models that are based on an existing NWN2 skeleton. Can't use Expotron unfortunately (my version of 3DS Max is too new), so that means I can't make any new animations. I would think with the Loxo, you would need to make an animation for the trunks and floppy elephant ears for it to be truly excellent :) Thanks for the vote and it's great to see Bob in action!

I just put Bob in my Desert Sands module. I was using a burning djinn. If you're taking requests for a next project, I'd suggest a Loxo. Has a large muscular torso like Bob, two curved tusks, elephant ears and two trunks. Really cool and you can see a picture of it at WOTC. If not, crocodiles, giant frogs and owlbears keep showing up in adventures. An owlbear should have been in MOTB. But anything you make will be fine. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Actually, Yaddaman, Bob is an evil genie, not a demon. Apparently, efreet are very sensitive about this rather common misconception :) But you're right, he would make a great stand-in for a demon or devil. Unfortunately, he is not tintable.
I love it ! You can be sure the players of my pw will meet Bob ! _________________________ Fanelya

Excellent work! Finally a demon that looks powerful and scary. Would also make a perfect japanese ONI in a far east setting. By the way, is the skin tintable (sorry haven't tried myself yet)?
