EVIL EDISON'S GRAY RENDER
By Sean Bates
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
No clothing, no armor, no weapons, no variations, no tattoos, no jewellery. I
was looking through my Monster Manual hoping to find something simple to make
and lo and behold... Gary the Gray Render! Remodelled an Ogre Mage in 3DS Max,
then textured him up in ZBrush and Photoshop.
I have included blueprints based on the stats in the 3.5e Monster Manual. Feel
free to modify accordingly.
Lastly, you are free to use this hak pak for any non-profit generating
enterprise. You are free to add it to any compilations as long as proper
credit is given.
Look forward to seeing Gary in action.
Best Regards,
Sean
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
I'm sure you know the drill, but for the record:
1. Put grayrender.hak in your C:\Documents and Settings\[USER]\My Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\hak
folder.
2. In the toolset, add grayrender.hak to your module by going to View/Module Poperties and clicking
in the Hak Pak column.
Once you have added the hak pak, import gray_render.erf into your module by going
to File/Import in the toolset.
At this point you should see an entry for Gray Render in the Magical Beasts category of
your module blueprints. "Gray_Render" will also appear as an
option in the appearances drop down of creature properties.
Nice modeling. I especially like the detailed texturing on the back of its hands.
Heh. I'm hesitant to vote since I've pretty much keep 10 in reserve for use in the unforseen version. If I give my usual 9.75 for work that I find excellent it'll actually drop the rating on the gray render. _________________________ Co-founder of the PW (open beta) Sea of Dragons. Hehe.. nevermind ~ good to see any new creature.. no matter what it is!! *^_^* ~ Many thanks for sharing all those wonderful models!! .. btw.. your Gray Render is one of the reasons, why I want to (and will) create a 'Monstrous Companion' feat for my Companion Pack :) . _________________________ Cyphre's Animal Companion Pack
Thanks for the vote, Cyphre. To answer your question--I have no immediate plans to do any animal models, but I will say Hellfire (aka RWS) is working on some awesome dogs and cats (lions and tigers and such)

Forgot to vote. Giving it a 10 since you can equip it and it looks great.

Natural AC, STR/DEX/CON and any feats, IE the stats that would remain while shapeshifted.

I just saw the D20 Open Source has a Zombie Gray Render. Any chance of a zombie version? _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.
Kunikos, Gary would be able to wield a weapon since he does have all the same animations as an Ogre Mage. What other specific stats are you interested in?

You make it look easy. Now if I can just find out where they roam in the FR. If you want something else easy try turning rabbits into frogs. Frogs/toads are one of the five most common PnP vermin, and they are great for use in low-level modules/campaigns. Red, Green, Yellow and Black are the most common colors for frogs (there are White ones). And Brown is the most common for toads. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

What are the stats for this creature in the MM? Just curious if it can normally wield weapons. It may be an interesting form for shape shifting.
Yes nicethugbert he does have a tail, although when you knock him down it tends to look like something else :) I added some more views for your approval.

Very Sweet!
Also, the .erf is not packaged with the Override version above. I had to also download the .hak version to get it. No big deal, just thought I'd mention it. Nice work!!!!

Oh awesome. In our NWN1 server, this thing was the "Eater of Hin", looks like all the halflings need to hide again! _________________________ Talernon3 - Age of Dragons Link
