Folks,
Due to technical, financial, and other problems our site is down. We are working to bring it back again. I will be getting a new Email address for those who may need assistance with scripting. Thanks for the great support you have shown our scripting site. Our original site is now being re-constructed: Link ScriptWiz

It's a shame this site has gone down, since it was my most immediate source of reference when scripting. Looking forward to seeing the site back up in future. _________________________ AP Magical Miscellanea Package (v1.5, over 750 items): Link
Hello community!
Very sorry if I'm posting in the wrong area...
I am very new at mod making, in fact I started about a week a go... I have had lots of fun making about 25 areas so far =)
I had this idea of area transition upon death... i.e. you would be transitioned to a knew area with full health etc.. after you died in combat.
Is this a script thing? Any Ideas or a nudge in the right direction ?
Thanks,
Katt
Is this site online anymore? All I get when I go there is a blank page...

Thanks very much for this. From the point of view of someone who knew no code at all before modding (not to mention no knowledge of C of any kind), this has been a great help, and something that I often go back to. Excellent, I'd recommend it to anyone.

guillhaume, but pointers and arrays are by no means necessary for an object-oriented language... NwScript is very much object oriented, with its communication through events, I'd say even that the event scripts assigned to objects are methods... It doesn't have some of the utility features C++ offers (like, as you said, pointers and arrays, or STL), but it is quite object-oriented.
BTW, a great website and fine tutorials :)

I have been to your site many times and have found it extremely useful for a beginning scripter like myself. You deserve a 10 for your efforts! _________________________

This is really a great site. I am going to use it in my upcoming C++ class this summer. The work here deserves a perfect 10. What a great idea of using NWN2 as an application for students learning C++. This is much better than Alice. Keep up the excellent work! _________________________ TechTeach
Thanks for the feedback and the suggestions. We plan to cover all of the major areas first and then go back to add several "goodies" taken from the suggestions from you folks. Someday, perhaps, we could make a NWN2 mod that would do this. :) (Thanks for the link!) _________________________ ScriptWiz [email protected] Link

Thank you for putting together the tutorial. It is truly a great help to those new to the NWN2 script. Being new to scripting, I appreciate the logical way the tutorial goes step-by-step and teaches the language. I am about a third of the way through the lessons. You may want to consider a glossary of the terms you define as well as a printer friendly version of the document. I will be posting a link to your tutorial on my communitys forums. Please keep up the good work and continue with advanced lessons. Thanks.

It's certainly a good start, especially the beginning, like ADk said.
A great beginning! My suggestion, do what you did with the void main in your other pages. Give a little chart with the commands and what each word is for!! :) _________________________ ADK
