It is a low level character/npc guard, so it is padded armor with steel pauldrons.

Good proportions. Doesn't just look like a short, bearded human. Good beard. Don't hesitate to use a straight edge to get a "crisper" look for the things that need it (axe, iron bands and wood planks on door, etc.). Good job.
