Updates: v0.6 - Changed the name and made pack hero inclusive. - Added Klauth, Drizzt, and Guenhwyvar. - Fixed a bug in Artemis' AC. Description: This pack includes 2 heroes and 6 Villians (and their signature items) from the FR Campaign Setting based on adapted entries in the FR 3e, and Epic Level Campaigns source books. Included are the following: Heroes: Drizzt (Ftr10/Bbn1/Rgr5; Drow) Guenhwyvar (Magical Panther) Villians: Manshoon (Wiz25; Human) Artemis Entreri (Rog5/Rgr1/Ftr12; Human) Sememmon (Wiz17; Human) Arrk (Ftr2; Troll) King Obould Many-Arrows (Bbn5/Ftr4; Orc) Klauth (Red Great Wyrm Dragon) Every NPC was made as close to the pen & paper rules as the engine will allow, but some adaptions had to be made concerning prestige classes (see readme). Feedback is definitely encouraged and welcome, as are bug reports.
Allright, look... tyou argued a lot about drizzt's classes and I must say I wasn't really impressed with rpg-fans like I expected. First, about the idea of Drizzt being a high-level ranger and fighter: I don't think this would be ok, because the novels never mention Drizzt using a spell or calling for Mielikki's blessing. The other thing is that he should be ranger/weapon master... Zak was called a weapon master. A lot of drow are called weaponmaster and swordsmaster in the HotU campign. This title would represent his status. I agree with the Forgotten Realms Campign Setting. At the time he became barbarian lvl 1 he could have defeated the basilisk with his stats and equipment just fine. But for a high level fighter it would be too easy. Also an 11th level charactar seems to be okay to kill mind flayers in smaller packs...
Also remember that in the last book he fought almost fought draw with king Obuld after the orc-s armor was cut off with Cattie Brie's sword. An epic level fighter/ranger or a weapon master had a much easier fight. Also, what's good in a character who could fight even or even cut down Elminster?

Actually, Drizzt's official stats are listed as level 18 Fighter/ level 16 Ranger. Drizzt left the Underdark as a level 18 Fighter (was level 15 fighter when he left Menzoberranzan). He is a level 16 Ranger by the time we reach the book "The Lone Drow."

I don't want to ruin this comment-part but I must say, why not drizzt wouldn't be ranger? He was ranger already at underdark when he tried to live out there with guenwyhar. And so he did when he went to surface, remember fellow and teaching from Montoolio? And he even tracks and scouts very well. So whynot mostly ranger and a bit fighter(because of melee archere and his fathers teachings) And of course a bit barbarian because of his 'hunter'-part. Just my two cents. But if someone want to make this as it's in rulebooks, whynot? just don't complain about it :)

I take it you are to install it in your override folder? The Read me was a bit vague on that point.

Alright, im going to post here because this is just ridiculous. Robert Salvatore never meant for Drizzt to be a pen&paper or digital character, just one impressive, revolutionary character. We all have so many views on his looks, stats, characteristics. Some of us see him as a weak character some of us simply try to be him all the way. Look at how many pictures of him you find on the internet just by typing his name in a Search. So I just say this: Drizzt was meant to be loved, and thought of by all of us in whatever way we wish. Make your own version of Drizzt and play with that rather than argue about him on these posts. Otherwise. Stick to reading.

Are you some of you guys retarded or something. Go and buy the Forgotten Realms Campaign Settings book, it clearly states what he is which is Ftr10/Brn1/Rgr5. You can even look it up on the web. If you look for it on Dungeons and Dragons Website you may not find it but go to any search engines and type in Drizzt, Dungeons and Dragons, Keep lookin and you'll find his 3.5 version.
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 9 that made this score of 7.66 then rounded to 8.

Silly people.
Drizzt is blatently a Ranger/Weapon Master with possibly a barb lvl for the time spent alone in Underdark. Drizzt is much more skilled than just a fighter and he recieved his first years of training from Zaknafein (a weapon master) and he furthered his training in this class in his 10 years at the academy.

*His 'ranger traits' are what I'd consider the natural surface elven affintiy (sp?) to all of nature. Maliki coming to him could be seen as an acceptance to being a ranger, or her acceptance of him following her.
I haven't read the recent books though, does he act more ranger and less hunter/warrior in them?

"I think Drizst should be 20th level ranger, maybe some levels in Fighter, but thats really it."
He trained as a warrior for 20+ years. He trained with a ranger for a few at most. He is correctly done to be higher level as a warrior. I myself don't see why he is a ranger at all yet.
Also, I agree with the barbarian class. When he goes hunter he is quite a barbarian. (kill or be killed)

Personally I have always thought of the Barbarian level as a representation of the 'Hunter'.
Posted by Sablephoenix ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-12-20 15:32:00
Don't forget, Drizzt also trained with Wulfgar in Icewind Dale. They both picked up a lot of each others ways and movements. This could also explain the level of barbarian.

Drizzt has levels as a fighter due to his entrainment at Melee-Magthere academy. While the barbarian level is probably explained with the period spent alone in the Underdark, when he was almost drove crazy by his loneliness and became a sort of "frenzy-warrior" in order to survive.

Thankyou for producing Artemis and King Obould Many-Arrows. I was always wondering thou, why does Drizzt have levels in Barbarian, I know its in the FRSB, but it just never made sense to me. And many things make sense to me, I think Drizst should be 20th level ranger, maybe some levels in Fighter, but thats really it.

Excellent! I wished more of the famous people would have
appeared on NWN, and here they are... except that since you
seem shy of hakpacks and such, Klauth *still* doesn't look
like a "colossal dragon" to me... =)
Hope the coming expansions and such would help fixing the rest.
(Just did my "if Drizzt and Artemis would fight, who would
win?" module test thing. I always knew Drizzt kicks rear...)

Thanks for the comments, guys. I had fun making the
pack. To answer Dazeal's question, I was originally
intending to do a FR Heroes/Nemesises pack, but I ended up
making the villians first, so I just called it a Villians
pack. The "dual" pack is coming though. Just finished
making Klauth (Male red great wyrm dragon). I'll make a
few others before I upload a new version.
I was also thinking of doing a Ravenloft version (as it's
my favorite campaign setting), and doing the Darklords.
If there's enough interest in that, I'll probably do it.

Yeah, most 3e characters are nowhere near as hardcore as
they were in 2ndE, Drizzt is not as powerfull as he used to
be, literally hitting anyone on a 2+ and that would
probably be a Critical with some %chance instant kill.
And the funny thing is, Uthengental Barris'Armgo was (stat-
wise) more powerful than Drizzt.

Great work! Can you do more bad guys and more good guys
and call it the FR players pack?
This would be great!

Heheheheheh
Entreri is a wuss! :)
My L12 H-orc Barby spanked him and still had 81% of his HP
left (no need to cure). AC 23, +2 Greataxe, toe-to-toe, no
power attack, just straight up.
No challenge at all. :)
Maybe he's broke?
Posted by DeadHunter ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2002-09-22 14:10:00
Exellent......Now I can add Artemis Entreri into my modules.
A challeging foe if I have ever known one.
Another person I would like to Challenge......Jarlaxle :)
I have looked in many places but can't find his stats....
Exellent package...
