Description
These are partial suits of animated armor. They were constructed during the elemental wars by the mage corp of Zin. They are usually controlled by a scroll or a crystal. In this instance the controlling crystal is included with the creature. Take the crystal from the creatures inventory and place it where you wish. The creature recognises the bearer of the crystal as its master. Due to their extreme age these automata are known to sometimes exhibit bizzare behaviors. Many of them also are imbued with a retributive strike when destroyed, they explode. The crystal is also destroyed.

An interesting, and customizable twist, to the Helmed Horror school of golem-making. seems like there are some interesting scripts attached to this as well ... nifty
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 4 that made this score of 7.50 then rounded to 8.

The spelling you suggest is an alternate spelling and is correct. Janizary is the preferred spelling. Also janisary is another alternate. All are listed in my big dictionary.

Yes, I was aware of the history of these names. The main reason I chose them was was that they were all considered finatically loyal. and willingness to fight till death. The dictionary definitions:
Myrmidon: Name of a Greek tribe led by Achilles. An unquestioning follower.
Hoplite: In ancient Greece. A heavily armed footsoldier.
Janizary: A soldier in the Turkish Sultans army, originally composed of slaves. Organized in the 14th century.
So they were not using gunpowder weapons, at least at first.
Thanks for your comments.

Nice Idea... but you should really look into the names of a critter before you dish them out really.
Myrmidons were originally soldiers made out of ants by sum god (i think Zues did it) that were part of greek legend or sumthing.
Hoplites were greek Athletes and warriors
and (this is the one that is out of place) a Jannisary is a Turkish musketeer. now wtf has that got to do with golems and hand to hand combat especially when In DnD (or nwn) Greece never existed and neither did turkey let alone a hand cannon?!?!
(god dammit i hate being critical but that really just bugged me)

You will be able to dress it in any armor you wish. I noticed a few things I have to change but can't update.

Sounds neat.. especially if it is a 'NPC' model that you can dress up in any armor/helmet/weapons you want.
