Well... like all Abedzu there's the fact that they're one big creature made up of lots of little creatures, and on top of that if the outer nodes are dying then the inner node kills them with a stroke, letting all the mental hatred towards the PC out. If the PC is within five meters when this happens, he suffers forty damage.
