Right up until last week, you could have downloaded Gmax from the same people that created 3dsmax... but they stopped offering the free version last week... Right now, you might still be able to find someone that has a copy available, but getting it activated will take a bit of work. _________________________ Itinerant Admin: RPGModding.com - Where Modders Muster.

There are two "free" programs that I use to do modelling. The first one is "Openfx" I do all my raw modelling with this one because the interface is basic and less congested, but there are a couple of things you have to do before export, delete all face mapping, textures, and unnecessary vertices, and dont leave any gaps between vertices and you will probably have to scale your model up before exporting I usually goto the actions tab, then scale, x4 then x4 once that is done I usually save it as .mfx (openfx default) then i export the file as .3ds which you can use in the other program called (Gmax) made by discreet, which I had a heck of a time downloading and the regestration process is a pain.. but it is the only way to get your models into the game. I would recommend watching danmars tutorials as a crash course. Theres probably a million things I could say but the key is time and patients. Good Modelling
