The Aspis are a race of intelligent "humanoid" insects which first made an appearance in the old AD&D module "A1 - Slave Pits of the Undercity". Included in the ZIP file are the fully-animated models, textures, portraits, ERFs, and 2DAs for the Aspis Cow, Aspis Larva, Aspis Drone (Fighter), Aspis Warlock (Sorcerer), Aspis Ovate (Druid), and even some placeable Aspis Eggs.
There are SO many versions of the "appearance.2da" file that I didn't want any of my creatures to override others from different haks, so I just assign them a "nnnn" designation. All you have to do is open the appearance.2da file in your hak, copy the creature information in MY appearance.2da file, and merely assign it a unique number (just make sure it's not a number reserved for the official NWN/SofU/HofU/CEP creatures)... _________________________
!!! 2DA FILES ARE NOT PLUG-N-PLAY !!!
!!! THEY REQUIRE YOU TO ASSIGN !!!
!!! THE APPROPRIATE LINE # TO !!!
!!! MAKE THEM NWN/SofU/HotU !!!
!!! COMPLIANT !!!
What does this mean? How do I get this to work with Sotu? Thanks _________________________ Well, y'know... Sometimes you eat the bar, and..

Yeah, all I did was tweak the geometry of the formian model to give him a proboscis. You all might recognize the Egg (from Stone/JadeMonkey's Dragon Eggs) and Larva (Brent "Dumbman" Anderson's Giant Ant Pack) models as well - I basically reskinned and/or resized them, so most of the credit goes to them for their original work here on the Vault... Oh, and one more thing: I *did* modify El Magnifico Uno's original Rust Monster script to give the Aspis Cow the ability to cause some nasty splash damage from her acidic secretions - organics and metals don't fare so well when splashed with that acid you see... Ooo! Excellent! If this doesn't make it into the next CEP, I'll just have to add it seperately to my "Scourge of the Slave Lords: Pt 1" module.
Thanks for all your hard work! Was hoping somebody would do an Aspis Cow model! :-)
