Very talented scripting and custom content. But server has the worst player base I've ever come across. Bad players ruined what could have been a great place to play. I won't be back.

Simply the BEST SERVER EVER MADE FOR NWN !! That's my 6th year here, i took many lil breaks, but the friends, the action, the fun always got me back..
Awesome Admins,DMs, a lot of cool player made my days beutifull..
Those quests with guilded members, to be first in all unpayable feeling..

One of the best servers I've known. Lots of friendly people with the occasional random person personality, and any who rate poorly have not truly tried loc2. The real game begins after lvl 40 why play at a server where it takes a long time to get to lvl 40. This gives the server its on unique feel.

Alway alot of people are on. If you are like me & hate the 1-12 lvls this server understands & has many was to get easy (to an extent)exp. It's exp u can see not the crap 30exp u get after barly killing a sub boss/boss leaving u spelless all potions, scroll, ect. gone with no hope of getting back to town alive. You get real exp 4 you efferts lol. The gold drops are high so u can buy decent gear. Dont get fooled though the realy badass items will cost you. Any how I can go on & on but I'd rather go play & leave you with this, just go try it out or cheack out the website it's worth it. if u do look 4 Loki my main & I'll give u a hand or a quick toure to get u settled in. later

Best server ever.
More then 50 subraces... levels reach 200+ in different ways... Custom items... XP Reward Quests... Item Reward Quests... Quests... big... small... medium... easy... hard... PvP arena... awsome DM Team... Modified abilities... Overwhelming general delopment... other entertainments.
It's simply TOP. And still goes better everyday.
Just try and find out.

This is the best server I have been on since playing NWN. . . I played a year ago, then stopped, but I must say that since the PVP has been nerfed on the server, it is a better place to play. I thought it was unbalanced because of the immense advantage players had over new players that had no customized gear or god levels. Now that the PVP element is gone, the server is very enjoyable, and as i went on the token quests, i realized the immense amount of work that was put into every level. . .seems like no detail was missed at all, even down to the sound. Not only that, but for people who like strategic building of characters, there is free rerolling, as well as xp swapping from an existing character to a new one. Granted, there is a learning curve to be successful in this world, but i have my maps from Visigoth site, and now I have collected 5 boot tokens. . . I cant stop playing!!

The argument about losing 7500 xp is mute in 2 ways
1 being the fact that it was a legal PK or you would not have lost it!
The other being covered by your 'its easy to level' so 7500xp is not such a huge loss (from what you say) just take it in your stride an plan revenge! evil exists in player form aswell as monsters (infact we have evil guilds!).
In defence of LoC we are not a natural PvP server and have very tight rules on the PvP side of things and as far as PvP goes we dont spend ages thinking about balance (we do have the gladiator chapter that is very balanced for PvP!) We are a Party PvM server that has a huge number of quests and is about character development (we have not had a server wipe for 6+ years now).
WE ARE NOT a level 1 to 20 server at all players on LoC get past them as qick as possible and all the creative investement on quests and such has gone into the Post level 40 (where i would say we excel at). If you dont like this then LoC is not for you agreed, we also have a huge element of players designeing there own gear which is forged and I see this as a vital part of a character build process.
I do know we are weakest as a server for new players and for levels 1 to 20 but after all we say Life BEGINS at 40 and we mean it, vertually all the spell scripts (and feat scripts) have post 40 work we have a system of Epic spells (lifted from ARS Magica), new Epic Feats etc...(all without haks).
It is a shame you did not stay longer and get to the real LoC (which is as you said so easy to level why not get to 40 and see!), but after a few hours your comments are very much 'on the surface' and as we are one of the most popular Action servers (1st or 2nd) and have been for 4/5 years we must do something right!
How can you even comment 'What we have in this server is something similar to Diablo II & WoW ' when you probably explored 0.5% of the server areas' and 0.5% of the character development! AS i said we have 2000+ areas and hundreds of character options.
If a server makes new players as powerful as players that have been there years personally this is not 'my cup of tea' so it wont ever be in LoC rewards are earned though quests and time not thru having a clever build that anyone could make!
We also take a lot of pride in player input all of the above comments have been debated and evolved into player 'likes' over the years.
Just as a side here we have a definate route for players to take:
Play with your first few builds (we have free reroller) xp is easy to coem by at the start.(you even have 30+ subs to investigate here)
Move on to the first real character you want use chapter levels (xp is not so easy here) and get tokens items etc... Then when you really happy invest time make a god which enables you to access more powerful areas of the server (this requires a lot of questing and xp is not cheap).
Also Once you been on server for a while you will have a party to quest (and socialize with) with and then you really set to become a legend of chance!
So in short play on LoC longer then make comments 3 hours is not enough time to make any conclusions (it may be enough to make you feel you dont want to play on server you can often tell that after 5 mins)

The problem with this design is 2 fold:
- there is no point in leveling to 40 since its so unrewarding
- allowing PvP with the above hurts new players significantly
New players will be severely underpowered compared to anyone who has been on the server for a while since they know all the available items and tricks. I didnt go into great detail in my post so let me elaborate about how imbalanced it really is:
- I started a character and got to about level 8 in 2 hours.
- Some guy walks up to me where I was hunting and he was rated effortless so I thought nothing of it (despite his seemingly high level gear or so I thought)
- about 30 minutes later I was level 10
- the same guy comes back this time he is rated very difficult (meaning he went from level 4 or less and went up to level 11 or more in less than 30 minutes!)
- he continues to PK me and I lose exp 7500 exp or most of my level
Said person was also fully equipped with everything but the kitchen sink while I ran around with gear that new players can afford.
Does this sound balanced or friendly? I assume your argument would be that eventually it would even out but honestly that defeats the entire point of playing this game for the 1st 40 levels which are NOT fast or fun for new players.
What we have in this server is something similar to Diablo II & WoW where it is farming and gear that make all the difference rather than character build and strategy. That�s not to say its bad server but this is something that I personally loath in games like Diablo and WoW which is why I rated this server as I did. Things like strategy & skill are supposed to mean something but when some guy can run around with the same build as yourself and wipe the floor with you in 1 hit because he was twinked to the teeth then balance just went out the window and you have a game that�s completely dependent on who has the best items and/or who can twitch their finger faster to hit the other.
I don�t mind gods running around and chapter levels but on this server is feels so cheap.

PvP does lose xp why not? if its illegal PK then you dont lose xp and a bounty is put on killers head for someone to collect...
Perhaps after 3 hours you never really got the correct feel for LoC, rather negative post i thaught. Such comments as no DM on is not sensible after just 3 hours.
Most of your comments are intentional areas of LoC perhaps a server where character development is a key feature is not for you on an epic scale. (love the unbalanced bit how can you say this after 3 hours we have 165+ subraces and 2000+ areas lol) I reckon you should ask the God level 20 character how quick they level lol
I would say tho that look at the characters on the server we have all types so balance is achieved (even in such an epic world).
Shame you never stayed longer b4 you decided such a negative outlook.

The worst NwN online gaming experience I've ever had (about 3 hours of play).
- People level 1 to 10 in less than 1 hour.
- Twinking is a very serious issue
- Unbalanced very high magic world
- Unprovoked PvP resulting in Experience loss (which is not supposed to happen)
- got stuck behind the death area gate during a lag spike
- tons of lag
- no DM in sight to fix getting stuck or to give back experience lost from PvP death
- God Levels and Chapter Levels seem to be a result of how imbalanced the gameworld is (due to how fast everyone levels)
- spoiler signs everywhere telling you where you should go at your level
- enemies spawn out of thin air in very close proximity to your character making a lot of classes worthless since they are spotted right away
Very unrewarding experience which is too bad because all the features sound really neat.

Long time player. Started on this world in Version 1. Took a break for a couple of years. Came back and saw a world that evolved bigtime and just had got better.
Being able to take your character past 40 and do quests, that a basic level 40 would never even be able to do, is great.
Have to give it a 10. It is just that great.
