The Forgotten Realms Moonsea and the Dalelands is a heavily scripted role playing persistent world set in the regions encompassing the western Moonsea and northern Daleland areas. FRMD was created with an emphasis on a Pen and Paper style of play while keeping its content to as close as to the source materials as possible. Role-players and those who enjoy an appreciation to detail and accuracy may find FRMD a welcome.

Assistant DM snubletraad, makes arbitrary rulings, and runs a character in the game world he DM's. He brags about solo killing monsters with said character but will do everything possible to prevent you from doing the same including spawning monsters far above a fair CR for your character. Basically he's a little tyrant who's bad behavior would not be tolerated in a pen and paper gaming group.

Makes me feel as if I am playing PnP again. Love the enviroment, and the actions of your char. actually affect you in the future. Great server, with tons of realistic feel to it. If rp is what you want..with of course some occasional dungeon crawls, this is the place for you. Attention was payed to -ever- detail when built

I'm probably getting my rear end burned because I didn't vote 10, but hey... the server isn't finished yet. :)
Anyways, I have to say that this is probably as close to PnP as it gets. A lot of thought has been put into making everything as realistic as possible.

I've been playing here for just a few days and I can agree with all the comments above. The server is expertly built with NPC factions for any allignment and race whilst remaining absolutely true to the setting. The only thing wrong with the server at the minute is the lack of players as it's brand new. You should be able to help with that so roll up a character and come say hey :)

The areas of FRMD are thought out and well developed.
There are customizations to accomodate most (if not all) classes (with the notable exception of monks), such as detect evil for paladins, tracking for rangers, spell research for mages, grave-robbing for thieves, etc etc...
Factions are available to join based on choices you make over the development of your characters adventures.
The ecomony is realistic and as true to PnP pricing as possible. The server is considered 'low magic'.
All the good stuff aside, I won't lie - this representation of the 'Moonsea and Dalelands' regions is a deadly environment. It can be difficult to survive, much less prosper! But if you enjoy a challenge, then I think you'd enjoy what FRMD has to offer.

It is advanced NWN at it's finest...closet PnP feel I've had since I started playing NWN. True to source material with a huge scope if your looking for advanced role-playing at it's best...this may be your new home!
