Searching for secrets on the Lynaeum Coast, Rodrigo investigates the coastal caves. The Scrags living there forcefully eject him from the premises, throwing him out to sea where he nearly drowns. 
One of the fisherman of the Lost Coast catches Rodrigo in his net, and hauls him out of the sea to safety. Rodrigo rests in a ramshackle driftwood shack before inquiring about where he is. The fisherman offers to take him back to Port Royale with the rest of their catch.
Rodrigo arrives in Port Royale, and makes his way to Pickston and Jessup's Wild Tours in the Blightmore District.
Rodrigo enters Pickston and Jessup's Wild Tours to inform Jessup of his unproductive "tour" thus far.
Jessup is displeased with Rodrigo's lack of progress, and sends him back out into the Blightmore district of Port Royale.
Rodrigo sets sail on the Coralyn and arrives in Darby's landing. Perhaps his contact there will have a lead. Unfortunately he brings the flu with him from the Blightmore District of Port Royale, and begins showing symptoms when he arrives.
Rodrigo waits in the Salty Sea Dog for sign of his contact.
At last Rodrigo meets with his contact in a dark corner up stairs.
On the way to his next destination, Rodrigo pauses to pay his respects.
Next Rodrigo passes through Goblin country, and does battle with the flu.

Upon arrival at Carfax trail, Rodrigo speaks with a Northern Ranger who warns him that Carfax is haunted.
Apparently she was right. Rodrigo is attacked by farm implements in the deserted town.
Following the road out of town, Rodrigo arrives at the base of Carfax Hill. At the top is his destination, the old Carfax Manor. Stirges, called by the scent of his fresh blood, swarm out of an abandoned stable and attack.
Rodrigo cries out with a destructive curse, destroying the stirges, but attracting the ghouls of Carfax Hill who crawl up from their tunnels to investigate.
The ghouls temporarily paralyze Rodrigo, and attempt to drag him beneath the ground. He struggles and fights free.
At last, Rodrigo arrives at the gates of Carfax Manor. Perhaps the secrets he seeks will be found there.
