DSO is a total conversion for NWN attempting to emulate the original game by the same name deveolped by SSI in the early 90's. The original DSO closed its doors in the mid 90's leaving fond memories of in the minds of those who played. Our DSO will attempt to recreate the quests and content that were available in version 1.0 of the original, as well as adding a huge amount of our own custom content.

Very fun server. Great balancing of magic items early on. Some unregulated PK jerks though. Higher level adventuring areas need a lot of work.

I really like the way you can make and create items with other items. It is challenging and creative and fun. And NOT confusing at all, like other ways that stuff is done.
Also I like how when you die you have to get sent back to a hospital.
It makes sense to be worried about dying and that you can't just fly back to where you were before. I like that. It makes it where you are not all hyper getting back to the same fight and it is more realistic and that lends to better role playing and just more fun.

Great world, only reason I play NWN. Its a difficult and
dangerous place, but that's what makes it so enjoyable. If
you want someone to hold your hand and just give you money
and xp, maybe you'd be better off with a simpler PW. Good
community and support from DMs too.

What a boring PW. You fight against boring monsters using
your fists since you cannot afford any equipment.
The PvP is even more pathetic because everyone that is in
the high levels have insane power like call lightning to an
axe that does 2d6 extra acid damage. This is nothing but a
cheap quake server with no storyline or any real PvP, just
constant boring PKing. Avoid this one.

Quick question. If I install the hack pak for this mod
will it change the game when playing other mods or the
official campaign? Does it actually replace files?

We wiped our server vault once after the mod had been up and
running for almost 6 months. Hardly unreasonable.

becareful how you spend your time at this PW, they seem to
think its a decent thing to wipe the server vault. i left
after my character was deleted. The operators decided to
do so because of some item problems or something. Just be
forewarned...
P.S. - I wouldn't be nearly as pissed if they had merely
stripped all characters of items...
