I have played Elrond's for a while after the mass exodus from another server....I haven't played NWNights online for months due to no internet and it still draws me back to vote for it! Solid world, solid DM's, and a great community.....not to mention ME based!

Having played here on and off since its first conception YEARS ago, and at times being a map builder forElronds andoccasionally in te past lending a hand towards administration I have to admit, this server is one of the best for RP and meaningful PVP.
Your actions in te world are remembered, as a hero or villain between the player base and such lasts forever in the memories of the community.
Unlike many other LOTR's servers, Elronds worlds map makers have successfully made middle Earth come alive.
Were some servers would have a wooden Helms Deep (!) Elronds has a very scaled and true to book and films design.
The Black Gate is foreboding to veiw.
Minas Tirith is on several tiers.
The dark forest is mystical yet beautiful.
Middle Earth is here!

I used to play on a server where sytem crashes were very frequent and even more requent were their requests for donations. It was nonprofit in name only with a wildly unreliable system. Then, I found Elrond's World. It's soooo... much nicer. DM's are frequently online and willing to help you, the game play is well balanced, experience rewards are very reasonable, and the players are good folk. Of the many people I've encountered there has only been one who was an outright jerk, everyone else (whether their characters good, evil or neutral) are always happy to help you out. AWFUL server filled with idiot and asshole just like the dm's u cant roleplay with metagamers and pwoergaming ppl avoid at all costs , apart from that the mod has a nice layout shame about the rest

Great RP/Hack n´slash/PvP server. Continuing development. Dedicated and knowledgeable DMs and players. Also great if you like the stories by Tolkien.

I like this server, and it is where I spend most of my gaming time nowadays.
As others noted, it is an RP oriented server with relaxed rules. If you like RP more than anything else, you will tend to interact more with one group of players, if you simply want to bash monsters you will gravitate towards another group of players, and if you are keen on PvP you will be able to find players who feel likewise.
It is friendly towards newbies and low-levels, and fairly generous in its rewards. It does not curtail Magic, but it does tend to have items that give non-magic users protection from specific types of spells. DM presence is fairly high, and positive. There is active development of scripts and areas and a responsive head DM.
By and large the server is roleplay oriented, but with a big nod towards monster-bashing and PvP.

One of the top servers out there and the best LOTR server I've played(Yes it's even starting to nudge ahead of good ole SP) The dev team is always looking for ways to improve the game world and are always willing to listen to the suggestions and oppinions of the players.
