Description
Despite having over 310 well-developed zones, the Engliton module is still under development. More zones and quests are being added and tradeskills which allow characters to create their own items/equipment, are completed. Engliton has zones and quests for all levels, from one to twenty, so there is great growth potential. The Engliton server also has very active DM's which make sure that the server is up and running, that there are no problems or bugs in the module and interact with the players, giving them custom encounters and quests on the fly. The DM's also take note, and are known to take elements from a character's history, or present actions, and use them to further the overall Engliton story.

Engliton has become a "home" to me. Once I got there I seldom left. There is so much to do ranging from adventuring the tradeskills. The Dms and other players are available for a well-rounded RP experience.

A well rounded role playing server. Plenty to do with players dedicated to trying to make it a fun experience. A truely wonderful experience.

This is hands down the best server ever. With a focus on roleplay, large variaty of areas to adventure, tradeskills, and DM run quests happening all the time you are not only experiancing a complex world, but changing the way it evolvs.
The creator is imaginitive, the DMs are fair, and the players are helpful.

Been playing on the server for over a year now, and it's the only server I play on at this point. The new trade skill system (much like CNR) is very nice, and a great deal of thought has gone into the world to make it feel "reasonable". Emphasis is placed on roleplaying and player interaction rather than power leveling.

Sounds like someone had a bad experience. OK, sounds like someone has an axe to grind, actually. I like Engliton, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. And every now and again we get someone on the server who is asked to leave because they are abusive or disruptive. Sounds to me like one of those folks is posting reviews here...
For everyone else, check it out and make up your own mind. You might find a new server to visit, maybe even a new home.

I personally feel that Engliton is by far one of the best servers I have ever played on. It combines some of the best elements of both NWN and tradition roleplay all mixed into one big...pizza. :D The world of Engliton is huge, spanning two continents of dark and good while also sporting some mini islands for further fun.
Unlike other servers it not only is big, but every single transition has something to do as oppose to walking in an empty field just moving from point A to point B.
The DMs are also fair, just and the creator is definately wise when it came to nerfing the latest expansion. Though at times leveling is harsh, you can always relax on a bench and start up a conversation, perhaps even learning new secrets about the world or making a new friend to go out adventuring with, making leveling a breeze.
Tradeskills are being redone but so far they are an enjoyable experience (I love picking apples to boost up farmer xp :D )
As far as roleplaying goes, unlike other servers no one is the star of the server. There are multiple stories going on, most of which are fueled by the players. Depending on your taste of story should help you choose which story to interact with. If you don't fancy a story line then simply don't take part, and instead interact with another. There are so many creative players that there's something for everyone. (heck one person is even roleplaying a blind man!)
I've been playing for months now and I'm still not tired of it. :D There's just so much to do that no matter what mood you're in you'll be pleased. My only issue with the server is that the guards never do anything, they're usless almost as much as the Ruby clan, only if you tick them off do they do something. :)
The game's vast lands and quantity of things to do reminds me of the game Morrowind, roleplaying reminds me of Everquest and the relaxation reminds me of StarWars Galaxies. There's so much to do that it deserves the title of a renaissance server. You'll meet people of all ages and creativity, all in a peaceful enviroment (unless fairview is under attack >_>) Amazing how people say that only friends of the DM can have fun here when I have only spoken to the DM twice and that was about technical questions. =D
I have been to many servers in my time but I can easily say the engliton is indeed the best. Equipped with persistant homes, an assortment of hidden surprises, dungeon and a great roleplaying community...it is the ideal server for many types of players. It may not be perfect, not all may like it, but with such a great community like that...I can't imagine why anyone would hate it. :) So if you like to roleplay and have a plethora of options to spend your time then engliton is indeed the place for you. (Rubies may be useless but their friendly!)

Engliton is not worth your time if you are looking for real D&D experience.
You can find this same type of RP in chat rooms on the internet. It's a bad soap opera, and its cliqueish, unless your friends with the DM's on the server who are also abusive.
I wouldn't suggest this server to my worst enemy to play on. It's so boring and unchanging, even Christopher Reeve would get up and walk away.
