Undermountain, is the largest underground Dungeon in the Forgotten Realms, and is located Under Mt. Waterdeep in the City of Waterdeep. The mad Wizard Halaster Blackcloak thousands of years ago designed Undermountain, and is said to still reside there to lure would-be adventurers to their doom. No one knows how many levels down Undermountain goes, but so far, 15 levels have been mapped out. You begin your adventure in the Yawning Portal Tavern. Besides entering Undermountain, you may explore the Yawning Portal Inn and Tavern as well. The Tavern's main floor is where people eat and drink as well as enter the Waterwell to Undermountain. The second level of the Tavern are the Bedrooms and quiet fireplace where people can relax. There are secret doors in the Tavern as well. You will just have to figure out where they are. The Basement of the Yawning Portal is mainly for stock, and supplies.

I love, love, love this persistent world! One of my most memorable moments was when I went into a small dungeon, I found a player who was getting attacked by a bunch of fire beetles. As a Sorcerer, I cast some low-level spells to dispose of the dumb insects, and the player thanked me with a hundred gold, which gold isn't easy to come by me if your only in the Sanctuary levels.

Just one teeny tiny itsy bitsy problem. I CAN'T PLAY!!! Some talk file or other is needed it says. It would be nice if you posted a link or file or something in the mod description or here. This is absolutely the best module online. It is well thought out, not monotonous, death is handled pretty good, and very user friendly for new players starting out. The areas are just immense, you will never get bored playing this.

Fun Server and Great module. Very detailed. It can be a challenge at times if your a solo player who dislikes having to repsawn. Once you get some levels under your belt and have found some of the plentiful good company for the adventure, trying to get to the "bottom" of UM is a desire that's hard to resist.

I have played this server for several months now. I am amazed at the size and scope of this world. Ziroc has put detail into every nook and cranny in Undermountain- and it keeps getting BIGGER!!

The mod is always changing and there is always something new to discover, which adds to the realism. The game is well thought out and developed for any class so you are not restricted although parties do much better than solos. You can solo or join parties which is the most fun I have ever had in multiplayer games. Several areas almost require parties in order to survive unless you are very stealthy. Awesome Mod!!

Escape from Undermountian was one of the first online NWN games that I played. I keep comming back to is because the Mod keeps growing with new areas added all the time.
The design and sixe of some of the levels is fantastic and really we thought out to give the best playing experenance possible.

I have been a fan of this module ever since it was made available online. The caverns sometimes change and new creatures are found in places that they were not previously, which adds to the realism that this is the very Undermountain that Halaster had in mind. There are many puzzles and quests for those that enjoy such gaming preferences, and there are many chances to just hack your way through opponents if that is what you desire to do (or capable of). Very versatile for any gamer. The game is well thought out and developed in a way for any class of player to get his/her fill of fun.
When I have encountered bugs in newer areas, they were always resolved within a day. In a party of three players with decent stats, you can expect to play for hours and hours if you are not familiar with the layout of the caverns.

An Awesome Mod rich in both characters and quests and a true challenge for an honest gamer. As soon as your feet hit the dirt, you'll have monsters attacking you. The monsters increase in difficulty by level as the treasure increases in power. Its a truly Great and Well-Balanced Mod.

I have played every NWN MOD on line to date. This Escape from Undermountain is way above all the rest. The creator of it must have been A PnP player to be able to create this MOD with the extreem detail. BRAVO!! Better than all the rest, I would call it the best. IT has been said that it is a work in progress, I can hardly wait to see how the completed MOD ends. It took me 8&1/2 hours to get through the first 10 levels and now I find there is more to come. Bring it on I'll be there!!!!!

Escape from Undermountain is without question the best on-line NWN stand alone mod I have played, in fact Bioware would be proud to call it one of their own. The action is not your run of the mill hack and slash. This is a roll players mod that atracks the best quality players from the net and what they find is a highly detailed mod that is populated with hunderds of NPC's to deal with, both good and evil and every type monster that NWN has to offer. Every level in the Undermountain is an adventure and each level becomes harder as you adventure down deeper so far I have made it down 10 of the levels and there is still along way to go. I rate this a 10+ and you will too. A classy way to spend a weekend and watch out for BIG RED!!!

This is a very well designed module which is also well maintained, and the response to bug reports is great. I will be downloading this module when it becomes ready for download to the general public. Thanks Ziroc, for providing an excellent world to play in.
