Death
Upon death, players respawn in a twilight world, home of the Goddess of Death. She can restore their soul, and transport them back to Terest within safe sanctuaries of their choice. Her price is a (reasonable) toll in XP/GP. More sanctuaries become avalaible to players as they climb in levels.

No cheating - No ooc'ly offensiveness - No rude names - the Faith chosen at the creation of a cleric character imposes their domains (please check the website for more information).
First, I would like to stress that this server has been created for adults only. All in-game descriptions are bilingual, allowing easy access to both English and German speaking players. Terest is a huge world divided in four continents. The game starts on a small island called Feast. When players reach their 5th level, they have the option to leave Feast and start exploring more of the world. Adventuring, making themselves a name while defending their town or faith, gathering riches, acquiring a house, socialising, Terest offers opportunities to demanding and fun-loving players alike.

No Bounce No Play! This is the most fun I have had on a server yet. The people are friendly and the role playing is great fun.

Here is my (as objective as possible) review of Terest after playing on it for almost two months now.
First impression when creating my character :
I will be honest and say that my first impression was negative. The introduction banners were not really helpful, poorly translated from German to English, and the world seemed empty of players. I would have left it if I didn't meet another player that guided me during my first steps. All this has changed now, and genuine efforts have been made by the designer to take players suggestions into account and make new players feel welcome. I am glad that I gave this server a second try.
Visuals: 9
The required hackpacks are few compared to most PWs, and their ressources (CEP) used efficiently and with talent. There is no area, or creature, that looks like another. I've never got the distasteful feeling of having to spend my adventuring in sewers, or fighting the same goblins in the same area for weeks, to achieve something. The layout of the world has been given alot of attention and work, and it feels.
Roleplaying : 9
The roleplaying is everpresent and flavory, supported by a very rich storyline that has been playtested in a PnP campaign for several years now. It is not imposed, but instead welcome by everyone, DMs and players alike. The storyline evolves with the players, and it is not unseen to have overnight surprises when you log back in the next day.
Game Design: 7
This is probably where the server could improve most. Bugs are handled as soon as they appear though, and nothing is ever written in stone. Magical items are unique (created by hand by the designer), and valuable, you will not find them on the first merchant seen in town. Finally, it is rare to me to find a server on which my eyes are not locked on the experience counter of my character sheet because everything focuses around it. Terest is one of them for me. The gaming experience is pleasing, challenging and makes me want to taste more of the world.
DM's attention and integrity: 10
It is sometimes a chore for a DM to maintain balance between pleasing their players, and enforcing integrity to preserve a healthy environment to play in. Whenever I needed the attention of DMs for a bug, or a roleplaying event, I had it. I believe not to be a special case, and have yet to benefit from any material gain in game that I didn't earn. I would like to commend the DMs for that.
Community: 10
I can't praise enough the community on this server. It is small and intimate, but very friendly and tight-knit. In many difficult a situation, I had their understanding and compassion. They keep giving me laughs, fun and good moments, and I am eager to play with them after my days at work. I wouldn't trade this NWN community for any other.
Overall score : 9
I believe it to be a fair score for a server that has yet to prove itself amongst the major ones. If you wish to experience something new, in the streamline of what you might have felt in PnP campaigns, feel welcome to join us :)

This world is meant to be shared.
Terest is very rich and evolves around you, with you and your in-game companions, thanks to the dedication of a DM who playtested the concept of her world in a PnP campaign for over 10 years now. To give you a concrete example, my character is a Calarie (wood elf). One late evening on Terest, she felt complied to entrust her companions with a tormented past, trying to flee from it. The next day, I had the surprise to see her "past" (completely made up by me) actually beginning to take shapes in Terest...
If you seek to play in a friendly and intimate setting, if you have equal interest in the fun of adventuring and the intensity of roleplaying, if you like to watch your character grow "naturally" in levels, equipment and fame, if you like a consistent and exciting storyline, then I invite you to start your journey and come to join us.
Better than words, give Terest the chance to tell its tale, you might just be surprised how much you like it.
