Itropa is a mix of sci-fi and fantasy, with a sense of humor. It takes place in an alternate universe, where technology has developed at a different rate than our own. It is a role play server, but it doesn't take itself too seriously. It has plenty of action, but battle isn't the focus of the world. There is no actual magic, and there are no gods. This has no effect on gameplay, it is strictly for RP purposes. Magic users must come up with scientific explanations for their powers.

I hate to vote for my own place... But I figure, if I didn't believe it was good, I wouldn't waste my time working on it. So since I'm obviously biased, you can take my vote with a grain of salt. But do try it out, we'd love to have you!

There are many scripted subraces and items in this mod. Best of all, it only requires the CEP, no other haks. So it's easy to come in and give it a try!!

This is the first Persistant World where I really feel at home. Everyone is nice and helpful there, and yes if you run into a halfling rogue/assassin, she might give you stuff to help you start out.

I enjoy the irreverance and many tongue in cheek areas on the server. The subraces are "out of this world" I also love the many IC work arounds for the fantasy tile sets for a SCI FI world. Try it. You are gonna like it.

I like the freedom the DM's give in playing your character the way you want to. They aren't the "you WILL play your alignment or else!" types.
They also encourage char. development and take your suggestions to heart (unlike some other servers I've played).
IMHO, this one is the best I've ever played.
The other players are great, too.

Absolutely fantastic world. Scripting and quests are some of the best I've seen. PLENTY to do for players of all levels and play styles.

Yeah.. we have a blast on Itropa. Full of all types of sci-fi spoofs, with more to come. There aren't a whole lot of us, but we regulars are a pretty nice bunch (don't let our RP attitudes fool you. So if you are looking for something new and fun, try Itropa.
