If you are looking for a persistent world that is challenging, diverse, great fun to roam, and yet successfully balanced in a way that provides flexibility for players with a sensible level in pw restrictions then this is the place to visit.
After playing online persistent worlds for many years, Midgard combines everything that I was looking for, including;
1. Intelligently layed out spawning and patrol pattern of monsters
2. No time restrictions on resting, but made interesting by patrolling monsters that may still be lurking in the area.
3. Very diverse world, regions significantly different and based upon race.
4. Well thought out and balanced portalling system; portal to leader-town, and find those portal stones that are scattered around the realm.
5. Great items with different properties, and nicely balanced - e.g. not uber +9 rings or wpns (as far as I can tell so far).
The list could go on, all I can say it has everything most players would like.

Just cant wait until thoes old fosils running the pc store here get their croaky old finger out of their soare asses and order Sou so I can play Midgard again,, LOL !

Mister sensitive the server is only password protected when the DM's are testing new stuff out and the new patch/XP did cause a few problems-check out Link for more info

Is Midgard passworded only now?
I was playing on it for a couple of days and now, much to my chagrin, the server seems to be password protected.

The best server online no kidding and it gets better all the time.The number of custom items is staggering and now there are DM run events you gotta try this place out it really will take over your life!

Midguard is great. If you're into exploring you can explore, if you're into treadmilling, you can treadmill, but the world itself isn't even the best part for me, it's the fact that the other people who play here are great. Thee is no one I dislike, and that's rare. Oh, and Voodoo's custom scripting of everything is pretty sweet too. ;-)
