HCR modified respawn: Upon death all gold is dropped then the character is transported to the Fugue Plane. While on the Fugue Plane there are several options: - Stay dead and create a new character. - Have a PC or NPC cleric cast a raise dead or other similar spell to return you to the place you died (or where the NPC is). - Ask the Warden of the Dead in the Fugue Plane to return you to life. Experience Penalties If raised by a spell or NPC cleric a 5% experience loss is incurred. If returned to life by The Wardern of the Dead a 10% experience loss in incurred. Experience penalties are independent of the PCs level and are always applied. In addition it is possible to lose a level due to suffering an experience penalty.
Mithral Hammer's - The Sword Coast is intended to be an accurate representation of the Forgotten Realms. Terrain, creatures, cities and locations are all based on the 3rd edition Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting. If you've ever wanted to explore the depths of Undermounatin or host a party at The Yawning Portal in Waterdeep, this is your chance.

All the credit for this great server needs to go to the hard working staff of MHTSC. If it was not for the Devs and DMs, MHTSC would have been only a dream.

Simply amazing and it's in alpha! You really feel like you are in the Forgotten Realms and the DM quests are awesome, not like the 'bring me the orc's head' quests I've seen on so many servers. If you've been looking for a home in the Forgotten Realms, try it, you won't be disappointed.

Breathtaking, astounding, impressive, stunning, wondrous... it's hard to find one word to describe this server, let alone a group of words that can even come close to doing Mithral Hammer's - The Sword Coast any justice.
Have you ever played Baldur's Gate and wished that bioware took that engine, added more areas of the Sword Coast and put it online for hundreds to play at once? What about after a session of D&D just wishing for one moment that you could walk around in Faerun meeting these people and just see the world without having to close your eyes? Mithral Hammer's - The Sword Coast is the closest and most satisfying thing we will ever get to that with the NWN engine.
So much detail and effort has gone into the world, when you walk through Waterdeep, YOU'RE WALKING THROUGH WATERDEEP! The streets, the people, the taverns. Everything is there and accurate, hell even Undermountain awaits adventurers under the Yawning Portal. Candlekeep has some 400 books in it's libraries, and I do mean books. I spent 2 hours there and had only read maybe 10.
Where else will you find a server with devs that truely know and love the Forgotten Realms? I won't even begin to start on that and how a DM somehow managed to find time to adventure and roleplay with me.
Ever since I started playing Neverwinter Nights I began looking for a world as bewildering as this, and even in it's Alpha stages, I know I've found it and more then I ever wanted.

Great team of dedicated developers and DMs constantly building new areas and adding additional flavor to the PW. I'm quite anxious to see this thing when it's fully online. I hear they need testers....
