Death
Death is a serious event and not something to be taken lightly. The penalty to XP upon respawn is currently set at 300*Level. (A level 6 character would lose 1800xp. A level 10 character would lose 3000xp.) There is no XP penalty for characters below level 5.

Description
Set on an island in the sea of swords, Myseria is a land torn by war from all sides. Adventuers who land on the island are given the option to side with the lawful good kingdom of Myseria or their allies within the dwarven mines. Those with darker intents have the option to side with the queendom of Ravenwood, and those with a true penchant for necrophilia can give their life up to the whims of the dead lord Thibor. Myseria is a unique persistant world server that blends roleplay and action, favoring either side of the spectrum at any time, depending on events run by the DMs or by the choice of the players.

Funny I never looked down here before.
Myseria is a blast. Wish I had more time on it.
I'm a bit passive in the server so it might be just that I've not got on the wrong side of people but I've found the DM's no end of help. Not sure what the others are talking about. Myseria is a bottomless pit of fun that you might not be able to or want to clime out of. So you have been warned Dragons beyond this point....

Myseria: good world (as far as i recall), good players and Dm's, with always some exceptions.... but which server doesnt have rotten apples..

My bet is that negative comment came from the only player to ever be banned because they simply can't follow rules.
Regardless all are welcome on myseria and despite the posts from the only 2 caught cheaters on mys2 it is very rp oriented and is kept as far away from powergaming as we can ... but the fact remains we don't have mind control and can't force players not to powergame ... it happens.

They did not destroy the server, more change it from a roleplay server to a powergaming one. Turned it from an open server to an increwd server and lost a lott of adult skills like honesty and fairness.
In short the server I loved to play on turned to something totally different. A shame cause it used to be a really good server.

Dbrv6 Head DM, Witch, DM, Whaloroth DM, Neb DM, VGT DM, (they also played), Usangi, Tomoe Gozen, Myrthyn Pendragon, Tiffany, Evil Emra, Nevyn, Breanna, Dancer, icelord, and so many more great rprs. The server used to be wonderful. But in all honesty I would not reccomend this server to anyone. I stop in from time to time, and say hi to a couple of old friends there but i will never go back, Gevaudan and Krellian and Freaky have completely destroyed the server. Sorry this is negative, but it is my honest opinion

Started to post about what is wrong with myseria in a negative way. In short it was a godo server at a time, at a time it was a server where lotts of great dms and players had a lott of fun. Now all of those dms left as did most of the good players.
If you like powergaming and increwd but prefer more rp then diablo, myseria might be a good place to check out.

i've been playing in Myseria since somewhere last November. the RP on this server is simply awesome. didnt play too much on Myseria 1 before Myseria 2 started around mid December. the most precious thing about this server is a group of quite dedicated(hmm they think they are addicted) players and DMs, together they make an incredible RP enviornment.
Also i'd like to add there are also enough action, ie challenaging enough mobs, over there if you like actions. so there are something for everyone regardless your taste.

I'm going to have to chime in and say ...yep, Myseria is addictive. I'm posting this at 9:43 in the morning after I've been playing for.... 15 hours straight, and then spending another hour on the messageboard. Addictive enough? I've been playing Myseria since August of 2002 and I have enjoyed both Myseria 1, which ran in its original life from June 2002 until December 2002, and played on Myseria 2, the direct follow-up and continuation of the story, since December of 2002. Warning up front that Myseria 2 does have a healthy serving of mature themes and content that may inspire genuine thought on perspectives often taken for granted. On, and did I mention it's addictive? I'd be playing now if my eyes didn't hurt so much...

Addictive? Myseria is like Heroin without the price and the needles. I hopped around trying to find the best server, and I think I tried them all. My home is definitely Myseria. Been playing there since ... September of '02? Long time... it's the people that keep you hooked, and the mod's definitely up there in quality itself.

I've been playing since March and I've found Myseria 2 to be an awesome community of good-humored but often dark-minded people :) Root for the good guys, root for the bad guys, root for both. Active plot has boundaries changing constantly.
Adequate amounts of hak-n-slash and tea-and-cookie roleplaying make a nice balance and allow for an intelligent good time.

I began playing NWN in the last week of May, on Myseria 1. When that server was turned off, I spent a week trying to figure out how to load the required hak files for Myseria 2. (It's not hard, I'm just new to computers, and now the web site offers a link to load the required files making it even easier.) Since then, I spend every available moment on-line! Warning: Myseria is addictive! Since I began playing I have tried other worlds, such as Mithral Hammer, The Three Kingdoms, and Dragon Coast, but they all take a back seat to Myseria.
