House rules
1. No spamming the server. (This includes with logging on repeatedly or spamming the channels.) 2. No overly vulgar character or companion names. 3. When you come to play, remember to bring your common sense with you. 4. A list of the PvP Rules can be found online.
Redemption is a PvP-oriented world loosely based on a text-based MUD. It houses many similar features to the MUD, such as: 1. Recall Point 2. Who List (Who's online, and information about them) 3. Corpse spawns on death. 4. PvP Level Ranges (If a high level character slaughters an innocent low level character, neither parties are punished.) 5. Killer Flags (Defenders and Players may attack you without fear of Level Ranges or gaining a Killer Flag.) 6. A unique and complex Clan system, in which players join the clans, gain access to Halls, and add strategic elements to the PvP gameplay. Halls are not accessable to non-members, but they are guarded by special goons, which if slain, spawn the key to the gates. 7. Special rest scripts that stop players from resting absolutely anywhere. Players may only rest at campfires placed all around the world, and at the town Inn.

I would vote higher, but as stated before the lack of DMs makes the server somewhat anticlimatic with out the the boss fights. (Bosses must be summoned by DMs-Dms are rarely on). Also lag and crashes seem to be common place.
The module itself is great, lots of wonderful, one off scripts, great ideas, and well planned world.
A Server PC upgrade or maybe ISP upgrade and an injection of new DMs would shoot this server to the top of any PW action lover list.

Only problem is a lack of DM interaction coupled with all the major bosses require a DM summon them. You cannot fight them and get their gear unless a DM is on the spawn them. While I understand wanting to control the amounts of boss EQ, you still need to account for DMs not being online to summon for players.

The head DM is a master of ruining a good module. As stated by 'upset' many months ago, the head DM takes away gear you get from bosses if he thinks it was an easy fight for you. They have made bosses only avaiable by DM summoning and the head DM will buff the bosses up mid fight to make them impossible.
The module is good and players are great, head DM just ruins it all _________________________

The killer flag is cool, (though I think the guy in charge of dispensing justice could be immortal to tackle the cheaters)
I'm still looking for the flags in the prefabs for my mod :)

Awesome module and overall gaming experience. I would love to this this mod go to offline play as well. Hail Redemption!!!!!!!!!
You can jump right into it, with great players and great conflict. The hack'n'slash is plenty, and some areas are very interesting (though most lack variety or complexity, like Ruins of Undermountain or something), but that's not the real draw of it. The PvP is intense, with some cool inter-clan conflict.
The first time your clan hall gets raided and your friendly Leader/Recruiter shouts

Great server, fun people... The rules change but only for good reason, some people just complain too much.

This mod sucks!! Everytime I turn around the DM's are changing rules, and if you earn an item by killing a creature, and they think you did it to easy, they take away your items, and make the creature harder fro you to kill. Its not right that they take your itrems from you becasue they dont know how to make a world. Dont download or play if you dont like everchanging rules, and your items taken away form you every time you earn them rightfully.
