Lord of The Rings based module, set in the latter 3rd age. Primarily a PvP based module, as all classes have been tweaked to ensure balance beween them, allowing EVERY class to compete, but there are over 350+ areas and dozens of 'original' quests to keep you entertained/amazed at what can be done with a little ingenuity. A mixture of a Roleplaying/Powergamer server, not forcing you to RP, but if things get tedious, you can always delve into character, and be rewarded for it.

I loved the server, though when i played without some of my friends i was harassed by a pair of players, So, i cant give it a 'perfect' score. Though it is still a great Mod.

From all of the LOTR mods that I have played over the past 2 years I would say that this is the best yet. No other LOTR mods can compare. Every class is balanced leaving no major advatage to one specific class. The size of the mod is outstanding spanding from the Grey Heavens to the inside of Mt.Doom there is lots of exploring and themed NPC's to battle.

After having played a range of servers I find Tales of Arda one of the best and most challenging. You play good or evil and generally stay that way. Its an excellent balance of classes and items and demands teamwork.

Tales of Arda rules.
Has high enough difficulty to encourage team work, and the tweaks made in the mod have done it very well balanced so no more Power overwhelming charachters invinsible by anyone.
The best also are the subraces its a lot of fun to be able to make a huge ent.... even better you and your friends can make and ent party and put White hand tower under siege. you name it and you got it.

Tales of Arda, A great server. It is great for beginners to learn how to play with great nwn players. Without limmitations on classes or number of levels in each class build possibilities are endless. Grim is awsome at scripting, This LOTR nwn module is the most balanced module I have ever played. If you give up easily this module is not for you, the bosses are difficult, but with copious rewards. No such thing as soloing bosses. One of my favorite things about the server is that you do not need to relevel your character to be in a guild. You can join and leave guilds from player controlled scripts on the server. Also the guilds are controlled by the players you can make one for a affordable price of 10 million gp. But to be considered a real guild you must have at least 10 members. The server is amazing a must play for LOTR nwn gamers.

Even if you are not a fan of LOTR the DMs have worked very hard to create an environment that you can enjoy playing your favorite type of character. Every class does best when played as intended, ie. fighters fight and clerics heal, etc...

I can sum up Tales of Arda for you in 3 words. Quality-Gaming-Experience.
So, what really sets this server apart from all of those other LotR servers, you ask?
Well, lets get this party started! Here at TOA you will find that there is an emphasis on playing socially (i.e. forming a party). Extra XP rewards are given when fighting as a party of 2 or more. And solving certain quests/puzzles actually requires several party members. So teamwork, here, is very important.
It's a wide, wide world. The playing world is vast. There are many unique areas you will find while adventuring here. You may THINK you know your way around middle-earth, but you will soon find that TOA has included many interesting and important areas that others have left out, while still remaining true to the geography of Middle Earth.
Like custom items, do ya ? Well, you've come to the right place. TOA is teeming with custom equipment. In addition, there are several magical forges scattered across the realm which you can use to create your own magically enhanced items. I'll say that again... You Can Forge Your Own Items! This is just one example of the *wicked**sick* scripting so common to this server.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, are the players and staff. The ever-present DMs are helpful and patient, and the DM chat channel is always open. The veteran players try to make the online gaming experience rewarding for all players, and it shows in their interactions with others.

not only will you find things unavailable on any other NWN server but the scripting has balanced all classes to allow versatility and expand rp potential.
