The Badlands is a persistent world based on the creation of myself and the players. It features a vast land with many areas to explore and unique settings to role play in. You can battle minos in the hills and shores of Gustofar or seek out riches exploring the pirate caves, even take on the Gods themselves in Ancient Chanter.
We've tried to make this the best world of it's kind and it's an ever evolving world. New quests and missions are always being added, and as more and more of the world gets explored you'll be able to discover this new territory for yourself. In the end it's about having fun while doing what we love to do, role play.

Added back C.R.A.P. Tilesets as CEP has graciously reworked and added in the crap doors. This was a godsend for I could revert some of the rebuilt areas as I liked the originals much better. The module is complete again, with no missing areas or dead ends. Work continues daily on new content, areas, quests, guildes and the like. _________________________ /Ariel

The world has been upgraded to cep2.2. There is no reason to have any overrides anymore as we now include a body tailor to adjust your look once in game. This gets around a model numbering bug within the game itself which skipped certain models when numbered out of sequence. Please empty your override folder of all non Bioware content.
This version of The Badlands PW boasts over 50 new areas with gambling, body and fashion tailoring, bounties, more quests, reworked spells for balance, and over 300 new items added into the loot spawn and merchants. Coming soon a Watchers Tower (wizards guild hall) with some special perks for the members of The Watchers.
For four years we have been online serving the players with as many exciting things as possible, look for more to come.

All tileset hakpacks removed, module totaly rebuilt using bioware tilesets with special regard to the TNO set included in patch 1.69. CEP 2.1 is still required but no other haks are needed, the override heads are for convenience only. _________________________ /Ariel

Removed ctp common requirement and updated to a new 2da file, please get the new 2da listed above. This should round out any changes to the haks. I've added a lot of new content, with more to come. Check it out.

Be sure and get the ctp_common.hak from the ctp release page, and the ctp_generic_doors.hak from it's vault page, listed above. Needed to fix an issue with doors after updating to v1.69

Now updated to 1.69. Paladins will be able to summon mounts, no other ridable horses have been introduced to the module. Perhaps in the furutre I may add some, but the size of the areas makes mounts seem overwhelming.

A PW where having fun is the only true requirement. RP is encouraged (and required for PvP), but is not mandated or forced upon you for the times you feel like just splitting heads.

Got everything. Persident world, athmosphere, detailed building, balanced world, roleplay, guilds, quests, fair dms and most importan of all the dms are active and not afraid of casting powerword quest every now and then :)

This server sucks. It was fun at first, but then you realize you get no help from others or the DM, if there even is one. Basically, you will never get anywhere in the game due to player killers. Don't expect to play anything other than monk because you will be disarmed, weapon stolen, everything you have pick pocketed and dead within 5 min after logging in because all the lvl 40 chars are a-holes. ALL OF THEM

Lots of fun. Has room for the dungeon crawler as well as the serious RPer. The starting players are developing a world history and shaping it. Read the website forum first or it may take you by suprise.
