The Highlands Project, a PW set in The Western Heartlands, is dedicated to bringing you the D&D online experience that you read about in books. Epic quests await your finding, epic villans are waiting for you to rid the world of them. An immersive storyline awaits, you may choose the side that youe on, whether it be for good, evil or to stay neutral, your decisions and actions, will affect the environment around you. Several of the BW default systems have been changed, most notably the Dev Crit. BW's is out and we have an alternate in place that works out well. Includes a custom faction system, persistant quests, 1000+ custom items, custom XP script, custom spells, custom epic spells, and much much more. Join the towns of Hills Edge, Corm Orp and Triel as they battle the evil, and good that infiltrates their borders. Battle legendary creatures and relieve them of the hordes they guard and so, so much more...

give this server a try...the time to dl the haks is well worth it. the server is well laid out and designed and there is a good mix of hack-n-slash, rp and good vs. evil stuff. check it out..you wont be disappointed.

I have been on the server for some time now. I must say, that it has a good balance of PvP, RP, and Hack and Slash. Involved storyline, some pretty neat and interesting quests. Great creatures to fight, plus being able to choose to act evil or good, or even being a fence sitter. You do not have kobolds that are dropping +20 swords of flaming death. However that Ancient Dracolich, or that Great Wyrm Dragon, has some pretty good loot. Overall, I like it, its a great time.

The Highlands Project is the best persistant world out there. I have tried several and none even come close. The haks are big, but the custom content is spectacular. You will be impressed.

Having played on dozens of servers, this is where I comfortably call home. At THP you will find an active website and forums dedicated to game mechanics, and role playing. The staff are extremely responsive and respectful. Suggestions for improvements from the players are not only considered, but usually implimented. The PW is updated at least weekely to incorporate upgrades, additions, and improvements. Most of these are seemless to the gamers, until they are pleasantly surprised by what the see and feel :-)
The player base is expanding and the storylines are well underway.
Get into The Highlands Project and enjoy all it has to offer!

I have had the pleasure of gaming on this server for several months now, and I must say it is by far the best PW I have visited. I guess thats why I have stayed.
Take the time to DL the haks and have a visit, you won't be dissapointed.
