Prior to 6th level, respawn costs minor gold and xp with no chance of level loss. After 6th level, using respawn 4 times in a row will cause level loss. Being Resurrected prior to 4th time resets that counter. Respawn will take you to last safe zone.

Dragged almost kicking and screaming to Talus by a friend...I found not only a world where I could stay, but where I found help when I needed it, from both DMs and PCs. But also, as time went by, I was the one helping those arriving on the world. Through RP; and Talus is a very RP world with much smiting for those looking for it (Quests galore for those that go looking, let alone the long serial quest that helps the levels go up).
- I had (Had to leave NWN, but would be on Talus in a second if I could get back) a couple PCs on Talus; all but the first (who died - deleted) was created to help others.
- The Player Vendors that Talus allows can be a great way to offload those not-so-common items, or in my case, a great RP value, as my Gnome Bix set up the first 'Official' Player Emporium. (Must admit, somewhat embarrassed, that I ALWAYS played a Human-Cleric until Bix came around...Nothin Beats a Gnome Wizard now.
- Rather lengthly...but Talus is IT for RP and a good fight. _________________________ When in Gnome, do as the Gnomes do: Makes LOTS of money.

Well. 2 years and a few days later, I'm still playing this excellent server. I've since upped my rating to a 9.75 knowing how hard the Lanthar, admins, DM's, Builders & yes players to, participated in a labour of love to earn those .75 points.
And yes, nothing is perfect, but Talus really is close to it.
Still.
2 Years later.
And now, with real epic challenges for some excellent team MvP encounters! We have hundreds of really cool npc's to kill, help, maime, aid, employ, rob or befriend with!
Players here do and have been shaping and saving this world for excellent story and rp situations.
It gets better and better the higher in level you get!

Great Server, very responsive to the needs of the players. Community of players helpful to new characters of the world, extensive maps and quests by DM's. Best in the Land!

This is a great server!. Good DM's , nice community of players and especially helpful to new level characters. Lanthar is responsive to the needs of the community and works hard to keep the server updated and running. I give it a 10! Best on the internet.

Everyone is willing to help out people new to Talus as well as each other. Plenty of RP, Team play if you do not want to solo it and a wide range of fun activity. Just great. World full of wonders. A lot of nice NPC quests. Most of them hidden so you can find them when you are not RP:ing with others. Many nifty features like subraces, teleport, special doors... I dare you to try this server. Just a great server.

This has to be one of the longest running persistant worlds for NWN. Over 3 years now.
They are still creating new areas and expanding the world.
