Etilicia is a high RP world. Existing in a world rich in history, the team prides itself on what they have acheived so far. Players are expected to take this into consideration in whatever they do in the world.
Player Requirements
Etilicia is a heavily role playing based world. The DMs have been specially selected for their skills in roleplaying and catering quests and NPC interaction to individual players.
World of Etilicia started out life just over a year ago when a small group of people craved something more from a persistent world. We were sick and tired of being ignored by DMs, not having quests catered to specific player groups and by the total lack of large scale events for long time players. Based on a rich storyline and history, our team of devs have managed to develop a world that is both engaging and challenging to players. We hold regular DM events, both on a server wide and small scale, as well as enhancing a players experience by using the worlds NPCs to interact with them and their party as they play through the world.

The world is wonderful, filled with areas a character justs wants to explore. There are unexpected surprises in unusual places thanks to a wonderfully active DM team. The RP has been fun and intruguing.

Any flaws are easily overlooked when compared to the attention one receives, and the hard work development puts into the world. Its very apparent. Its also very addicting. Well suited to go off and explore on one's own or in a party.

Shameless plug...but this server really is exellent. The builders have done a stirling job with the areas, the scripters with the script and, dare i say, a good backstory.

For those that played on the world during BETA, I'm sure you'll notice all of the work we've done in the months since September. This really is getting to be an excellent place to DM and play.

Hi fellow RP-ers;
I gave Etilicia a "10", not for what it is (a work in progress) but for three reasons:
1.) For what Etilicia can become, if the current high standards aren't allowed to slip.
2.) For the fact that builders and DMs are genuinely trying to make a world which the players like.
3.) Because it is my favourite PW.
I have seen too many PWs where they are only playing at being a fantasy RP-PW. Etilicia is striving to lift itself above the pack. I have seen more PWs which were once outstanding, but are now resting on their laurels and gradually (in some cases not so gradually) declining.
Give it a try. It won't be for everyone, but you might also be pleasantly surprised.

Etilicia has a dedicated team of builders and DMs. While the world is a work in progress, attention to detail, a willingness to make tough decisions, and a genuine desire to accomodate the players are going to make this an outstanding PW.
The encounters are well balanced, and treasure is worthwhile without being over the top. There are some novel features which should appeal to even the jaded player.
Roleplaying is encouraged, and well rewarded.
