Description
Zombieland or ZL as it's known to the regular players, was created by Kuldiin. In the beginning it was a lot different from what it is now, ZL used to have things like tradeskills and such, but these where removed because of the lagg they caused. The server is located in the UK now. It runs 24 hours a day 7 days a week thats why it's called 24/7 Zombieland in the serverlist. Over 18.000 people have logged in since ZL started running and we have about 100 players per day. At the moment the module contains over 400 area's , so this means hours and hours of fun. There are area's for all player levels and classes. The same goes for weapons and gear. So come visit us and join the thousands of others before you, Enjoy your slay.....err stay. 6 years since anyone posted anything here, so I doubt I'll get any responses but, does anyone know what happened to this server? If it was closed down that is sad, but I'd like to download a version. I used to love leveling from 1-20 on here.

Gone are the days in NWN where you could put any old module and get an audience and ZL�s poor design drives most away. The oversize maps, a dire death system that just has you respawn on the spot where you die and poor scripting means area running on this server is treated as massive sin where on a well designed server it�s a complete non issue. Then there is the insane number of keys that are required to navigate the server. You can end up with an entire tab of bags each packed with the keys you need to get around. For instance you need something like a dozen items to get one key that give you access to Avalon at which point you�ll need another dozen items to access the next area. And no hints or clues are given as the location of these keys/items and it goes on and on like that. I wish I was exaggerating here but I�m not. Then there appears to be an almost complete lack of custom scripting. For instance rather than just fixing the heal/harm spells they have just made most of the monsters on the server immune�
There is a lot else seriously wrong with the design of this server (half finished and broken areas�) but I think I�ve covered the worst of it. And it�s a shame because the people there are so nice they really deserve better from their module.

ohhh must be years ago i playd that mod :S i must say it was always the best mod... in NWN,
tho i wasent the most loved player xD haha i playd it for like 2-3 years i guess :S untill my pc crashed and i never installed it again ;? but il install it when i come home to x-mas and try it out again ;)

I have played on this mod for 1 year. After that, i tried a lot of servers .... ZL is always the best.

Uninspired and the players are a bit juvenile. On a side note, why do players on a particular server always give it 10's? Are rating systems not understood very well?

Hmm...You say you have 18.000 players logged in since it started...and 100 is left? Well, So you get 1 player for every 180:th login? Well, I wouldn't brag if I was running the module and only got 1 player for every 180:th login. It says here that the module is rather good actually. But in reality it is a dissapointment for the players that logon, discovering the opposite of what they were told. Have you also been thinking of that it might be the same hundred players logging on each day? The only thing you can brag about is that it doesn't suck as much as other modules(without hak-paks).

Only zombies????? What are you talking about???? Go kill some Demonic Chickens, if you are bored slaying zombies!!! Or why not do a goblin hunt?? And when you get some few levels there are many possible low lvl areas to choose between. And if you still go and slay zombies, don't go back after one or two areas!! I just played on this server for a while, since it's #1 and because of the varying comments it has recieved. The area design is completely random and senseless. There is almost a complete lack of placeables, in cities and rural areas. I ran out of the starting city to explore a bit, and was greeted by hordes of zombies just standing around in the middle of the day. There didn't seem to be a point to it, besides a lack of effort to think up something more interesting and sensible to allow low level players to hunt. I have no idea how this server got to the top of the list.

A waste of server space... Always nice to turn your perspective new players into Penguins and laughing at them, when they are genuine and want to test your world.
My suggestion, find something run by someone older than 13...

I would have given at least an average score, if a DM wouldn't have changed me into a Penguin while I was trying to get passed 1st level. Apparently they do it all the time, as I wasn't the only one hit with the "joke". Guess I'll find a more "adult" PW to play. Not sure how this world got a #1 ranking...

Well what did you actualy dislike? Design is kinda a vague thing to say... it's almost like a persons taste.
Well you have your right to your opinion, I'm just glad your one of the few who dislike zombieland.
And you are just one of our 17.518 visitors over the last 2'ish years.
Recently we have added the CEP expantion and are experimenting with it and developing our world een further!
So come take a look for yourself and become part of the ZL community!

Tried this server and it's absolutely HORRIBLY designed. How can this piece of junk be top rated??? Neverwinter Nights' decline must have progressed further than I thought.

Zombieland was the 1st server I got to and liked. No PvP means no punks can come up and maul your lvl 10 with a 25 (Diablo style) but there are arenas and areas in full PvP and Party as well for higher lvls. There is normally a DM on, and Zombieland is a friendly enviroment, in which ?'s can be asked without discord, and most likely answered by a veteran player. Being away from Zombieland for 6 months is like a whole new experience. Low lvl areas were added, and which I have never seen before, and I am enjoying them very much. If you looking for a total D&D experience, I wouldn't recomend ZL to you, but if you looking for a balanced hack & slash (that a lvl 30+ character can't be made in one day of vigilant playing), with puzzles, and good people, then ZL is the mod for you.
