This module is set within the "Forgotten Realms" campaign setting; the world of Toril. It is within these realms that the "Seviss Isles" are located; across the "Sea of Swords" and within the once uncharted Trackless Sea's expanse, far-west of "Evermeet". It is upon these isles that the players shall adventure forth to find both fame and fortune.
PLEASE NOTE: This release requires the use of the "Shadows of Undertide", "Hordes of the Underdark" expansion packs and the "Community Expansion Pack" (CEP).
CHAINMAIL - A dynamic Persistent Virtual World (PVW) providing a richly detailed campaign setting with numerous extended features and functionality. Named after the original game as both a tribute to it and its authors, which eventually evolved into the "Dungeons & Dragons" game that most are familiar with today. Chainmail is an appropriate name as each of the areas represent a 'link' which constitutes the whole, always allowing more links to be joined, further expanding this fantasy campaign setting. The CHAINMAIL module provides a setting that a player may adventure and explore without bounds. Special attention was given to provide a PVW that players could interact with and exist within that would more-closely resemble the pen & paper version of the Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition game.

I'm not sure if the mods are still active, but I recently found this PW and it is quite addictive! One thing I've noticed is that many of the factions are bugged. Shopkeepers, Priests, and guards sometimes show up as hostiles. If they attack you in town (Rahl) and you defend yourself, you get thrown in jail. Also, your henchmen will sometimes attack other potential hires so you have to run out of town quick!
Nice for just silly fighting anf you always look good using the awesome armor and forge.
But now that I am up on a horse that was running around somewhere, how the hell do I get off again?! I'm stuck on a horse constantly now...
(Player Echo Blainswheel).
...If it is what it says it is, hurrah, encore. We need more "Man, I can't tell the difference between this and a real world," "What if I get tired of PVP all the time" world! If this is just like a normal single player campaign on a HUGE scope...When is this going to come to NWN2??!

Not sure what the issue may be. However , as a fix you could use the character setup to adjust your alignment to what you need...It is an option on the QuickStart Portal.

GREAT GAME i HAve been playing Severiss and Chainmail for a while ..you have taken it to the next level.. My wife and I have a question - Why have the Alingment change? As she is a Paladin and I play a Cleric and we keep getting our alignment changed and Lose our Class..IS this a BUG? (as we are unable to advance due to alignemt change. Thanks It is A Great Game you have Worked on.. Wish i could get copy of this MOD someday! Reddragon and Mystic

This is a great server for frenzied battles at higher levels. Also, the server messages are more informative than annoying and it gives the server a more active feel.
I am curious---I tried using PRC once, but found that the vast majority of the classes were either broken, redundant (with each other), or simply not as well-balanced against each other as the standard NWN classes. I'm interested to hear what the creators of this PW consider to be the pro's and con's of the PRC.
Thanks!
Chris

Hehe, yeah that's kind of lame.
However, this does sound like a good PW. I intend to give it a shot. Not enough decent PRC servers out there.
