Setting  The setting of this world is on the continent of Tharbanm, a name given to the land by humans thousands of years ago and just a thousand years after the most famous of legendary heroes. Humans are spreading their dominance in the land doing whatever it takes to conquer. They have many friends and enemies. Only in the human cities is it common to see a mix of races in one location.

There are four human kingdoms, each fighting in the Great War that has been going on for close to ten years. Each race is entwined in this war in some way, and things seem to be spiraling into chaos...

If you have less than 1000 gold, she takes your gold and random items in your inventory, heal and move. If you have no gold or items she takes something you're wearing, heal and move. If you have nothing, she won't heal you, and you will take an XP hit to respawn.

Description
World of Quest is a Persistant World situated on the only known continent, Tharbanm, that is wrapped in a mixture of medieval feudalism and empirical expansionism. The known world, a single continent known as Tharbanm, has all but abandoned technological progress as magic had been harnessed and tempered to the whims of the races.

The beginning of recorded history is all but lost, as Torak the Lich has stolen away from the Great Library a great many tomes of knowledge. Whispers of rumor spread that this once black knight is trying to cover up some plan that may have been exposed by heroes of old. Humans fight amongst themselves over territory, Elves have become divided into two major factions, and other older races have made themselves more known throughout the land beyond their borders.

A blend of unique script systems are the core of this world, thanks to our Resident Coder, GwynWynn. Highlights of our world:

* MODIFIED CRAFTABLE NATURAL RESOURCES: Recipes have been added, replaces, and even removed to reflect the nature of our world. In the trade and barter societies, the players contribute much to the economy. Many aspects of the crafting system have been altered to make it more simple, but still challenging enough to make it fun and worthwhile.
* ORDER OF THE HEALING HAND: Throughout the known history, the Order of the Healing Hand have dedicated themselves to helping others, regardless of race, gender, or alignment. They do no harm, and no harm is done to them. They have many field priestsess' who show when one has crossed the threshold of death. They do not do this for free, either -- they have to eat too. They'll take your gold (if you have more than 1000) and leave. If you have less than 1000 gold however, they will take your gold and some of your items chosen at random. If you are unlucky enough to have no gold and an empty inventory, they will strip you of your armor and anything else you are wearing, at random. If you have nothing of value, they will heal you for free, as they are required to heal everyone in need.
* D100 SYSTEM: The original Pen and Paper game this is based on was built with a d100 system instead of the DnD d20. Many dice rolls have been reflected in our world to accomodate this.
* PERSISTENT CHEST SYSTEM: We are using a modified version of the persistent chest system found on Markshire.

We have done extensive updates which have rendered the issues mentioned in previous comments obsolete.

I live on questworld forums to a degree. The server, well, not so much.
Anyway, I have gone around the server for a while and am quite happy to say things are pretty good.
It was set-up to be a player economy with the shopkeepers mainly supplying enough to keep you alive, and going.
It perfectly is fine there.
What will instantly attract any roleplayer is the various professions, which makes leveling in non-combat ways very useful, and rewarding. The professions are mainly the crafting system, different characters are more suited to different professions based on stats.
The World itself may seem quite sparse, mainly due to the world being in BETA stages, as it has been for a number of weeks, months, years, etc, but anyone can find the world enjoyable by joining the community, and merely visiting the forums and world every now and then.
Speaking of which, I should get going back to Tharbanm.

Vinchenzo made a post here.
Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff.

This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice:
Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)

Updated server profile and IP. Starting out in the game has been changed, and is now more balanced.

That ring is the Gypsy Ring, and with the new update, you only get it by entering the door marded "gypsyland". When you wear it, the Gypsies know you're friendly, and other factions will be hostile towards you. Most of what these items do, have an equal and opposite effect tagged to them, and we've let the players come to find this out. I updated the IP to be the newest one, and the link is now to the new site.

Upon entering the actual playing world I was given a ring which endowed my PC with the Ambidexterity, Disarm, and Hide In Plain Sight feats. To me this just does not compute.
