All default races and subraces to include:
Wild Elves, Drow Elves, Duergar, Arctic Dwarves, Ghostwise Halflings, Teifling, Aasimar and more than 20 others.
For a complete list of currently supported subraces please check:
1) Don't do something if you wonder what will happen if you get caught doing it.
2) RP is welcome but not enforced. If you PvP a player please have a reason for it. If you are generally responsible for ruining the fun time of others the DMs will be sure to ruin yours.
3) If your not a mature, fake it.
The Underdark is primarily a plot-driven, hack-and-slash adventure server that emphasizes party play. The new XP system on the server is integrated with the subrace system (subrace favored classes are not implemented but subrace ECL modifiers are). XP rewards are fair and proportional to the difficulty of your kill. The subrace system was originally based off of DAR but has been massively rewriten to include, among other things, templates. A list of currently available subraces can be found on the servers web site using this link:
There are many areas to explore, both above and below ground. You'll find many unique magical items and loot is a monty haul as there is lots of treasure to be found in The Underdark. While you'll have enough gold to get by, you will need to watch your spending so that you can afford the best equipment.
Finally, it should be noted that while there is a ton of content, the module is definitely not finished. There is an active development team and updates usually occur over the weekends. This includes areas, items, quests, stores, and entire behind-the-scenes systems.

Well I likely can't say much else that people havent already said. I would like to say that our Mud Elves have a foul odor but luckily they are kept far away from newbies. Instead you can deal with the man scented dwarves who will welcome you openly. That last aspect is why I love this server. The people are so receptive and actually take the time to teach you what you need to know. Also the areas are the best i have seen on any server. If you don't try this server out you'll be missing the best part of NWN.

One of my favorite ascepts of this world, is the community of people itself. This is not just a world you go to play in and waste away a lazy afternoon, but where you go to make friends. The content is great, the power leveling is controled; while friendship and laughter is enhanced.

The playerbase is great, the DM's are interactive, there are special events that are held for the players almost every weekend, there is a wicked subrace system that includes 20+ fully fonctional subraces. *catches breath* For those players who wish (and have reached high levels) there are also templates that may be added to your characters such as Half-Fied, Vampire and Lich. On top of all that, this server recieves updates (new items, areas, monsters) almost weekly. To further embelish the gameplay experience your characters may also join one of the many one of the many guilds in the Underdark such as The Orb Cress, Council of Darkness, Arcane Brotherhood, Tormite and many more. Come on down, give it a try. Who knows, you might find your place in The Underdark.

I'm currently the host of the server; but, before I took over, I was just a regular player for about a year. I've played on several different servers, but this is the only one that has been able to hold my attention for more than a few days. It is the best put together module I've seen. And, the player community is top notch.

Been playing this server for a long time now. I have seen it go through a lot of changes. For me it is the only server. Great community and we always have a good time. Stop in and give it a try.

Great people on this server! Cant say enough about them. Excellant custom content, currently had too low of xp's, but has recently revamped that to improve on it. I have yet to see a BETTER portal system! Able to port to area's and to where PARTY LEADER is. The server is plot related so theres plenty of quests to do. EACH player can submit for a custom item unique to there PC! PLus they introduce different race's, like drow, duergar, svirvneblin (however you spell it) and more! You wont find a better DM's on other servers, at least the one's I've played are arent. Highly highly recommended!

This is the only server to play on as far as I'm concerned. The little things make it great too like the Scroll of Town Portal and the awesome PC Scrying Device. So easy to party up and have fun. Fantastic community, always ready to help new players and our pen & paper group play on it often now, hours of entertainment for all. Top stuff!
This is a great server with some of the best custom content out there. The people are great (and so is Hoar, my DM char) and are always up for a good time, whether it be RP, monster spawns, or just root-tootin' around. You should check out the forums and the server. You will not be disappointed.

Been on the server for about 1 year, and although i check out others from time to time, I always come back here. The content's good and expanding. Although the xp's are on the low side, just about everybody on the server is friendly and helpful and can give you a hand. The subraces definitely add some variety to the game.

There isn't a place in the server that doesn't lead to action packed fun, and I know for sure because I've visited all of them and had tremedous fun. The Underdark isn't just some "slap-on" module, it's very detailed and has great quests to do. The people on the server, and the dm's themselves, are VERY nice. The server had changed from several owners, and now I personally think we got the best one.
The server's great, and everyone should play it!
