Exaria 1 was cool with a large player base of differnt types of game style players. Only the hardcore RP's of this server welcomed the change from Ex1 to Ex2 really, while the others who pleaded to leave Exaria 1 up and running were ignored. Exaria 2 was built entirely to large and very empty with very few players logging in Exaria 2 was horrible playing wise and is a mockery of Exaria 1. Not up anymore but did it really matter..bad bad bad!
dear lord, i guess the voting was done with numerous made up accounts or friends of the creator? dreadful empty world.

Great community, great roleplay. Great!

Gave this world a short try, and it seems that the DM's were worse then they were on Exaria 1 . Now Exaria 1 was a fairly decent server, other than the lack of DM's or DM favoratism. When I asked a DM a question, I was rudely accused of being Kedric, the builder of the origanal Exaria. Hmm. Go figure.

Exaria rules!

I will echo the sentiments of those below. Exaria is a fantastic server! There's a lot of creativity that's gone into developing the history, and the building of the mod. Lyssa does the scripting, and she works extremely hard at it. (and does a fine job) And, working alone, updates still get installed in a timely fashion.
With that said, I didn't feel I could honestly give it a perfect rating for a few reasons.
First, and foremost, for me is the terminal lack of roleplay experience rewards. It says above that Exaria is a roleplaying world, but I think it would be more accurate to call it a "roleplay encouraged, spawn hunting rewarded" world. This may just be me, but I feel that on a roleplaying world, roleplaying XP rewards should be comparable to spawn hunting XP rewards.
As it stands right now, an rp XP reward is, as I've experienced, one or two percent of the experience needed for your next levelup. Expect to spend long hours spawn hunting to keep your character level current with your friends in-game.
Also, for a world that wants players' rp to play a more pivotal role in the world than DM plotting, it's made unnecessarily difficult to get a quest approved. (for a current example, you can take a look at the "Auctioneer" thread on the exaria2 forums.) Responses I've had to submissions are a) "I don't see why you need a DM for that," and b) "Give me two weeks and I'll get back to you." For me, it's a problem that player rp needs to be perfectly molded by staff to get approval for in-game events.
With that aside, it's still an excellent mod. Those long hours I mentioned above will go buy fairly quickly, and you won't start to notice them until you get close to leveling up. I'd recommend this world most for people that like their rp fairly light, and are looking for a reasonable challenge in hack and slash.

Exaria2 is absolutely unique and has with out a doubt some of the best built areas out there.
The dwarven city of Arnmoor and the elven city of Calenmir are built with an incredible love for details and are not to be missed.
The world is still new, but changes and updates occur every week and the DM interaction is frequent.
Come and have a look and don't forget to read up on the world history and religion. Very gude stuff.

Lots of player and staff interaction. Player suggestions and in-game actions affect the world both infront of, and behind the scenes. The world is still young though, and ever changing. It has great potential that it is starting to achieve.

Absolutely fantastic world. The staff are brilliant and bend over backwards for the players to make it a fun, interesting and dynamic world that you really can affect!! Come and visit.

Exaria2 is a world to behold!
New content added daily. Bugs are fixed as soon as they are reported. The world is challenging, but as a result, very, very rewarding.
The crafting system is all custom made (much like almost every other system in the PW), and is being expanded continuously.
There is a unique dynamic subrace system. Ever want to play a half dwarf/half gnome? Now you can. What if that PC were also touched by the Plane of Fire? No problem. Almost any combination is possible. Plus, there are other "application only" subraces to add to the goodness.
There's too much more to list out here...come on in and have a look for yourself!
