Lands of Amnestria was a successful low-magic gameworld encouraging player interaction, teamwork and mild roleplay situations.
Lands of Amnestria 2 takes over where the story left off.
Worlds have collided. The Underdark has risen and discovered the weaknesses of the world above. The guardians of the Light band together to rid the land of the grow scourge of darkness. All the while an evil so foul grows that will swallow all factions.
Play as a single player or join forces with your friends. Work with the DM's to change the face of the world as you attempt to sack towns, even cities! New content gets added as situations change.
Amass great wealth and purchase that castle you always wanted, or that magical tree you always had your eye on!
Weapons and armour may be modified in-game to boost their effectiveness using a custom crafting engine!

Features roughly 400 areas, along with over 40 dungeons, an Underdark, and many quests. Player guilds are fully supported with options available for guildhalls, custom faction script allows players to choose to align with different realms from which to do battle against enemy factions, persistant journals, location saves, and hit point restorations.

This mod is an effort of love and true talent.From the moment you enter the mod it becomes very obvious that ALOT of time and thought went into the design and feel of the world.With the multitude of custom content it truly is a unique and mesmerizing atmosphere to play in.

This is a great PW with so much detail in every area it boggles the mind to think about how much time it took to build.The custom classes and races are very nicely done,well though out and balanced.There is nothing but good things to say about this world from what I have seen except that is seems to be undiscovered by a regular player base.I like it that way myselfbecause I am selfish :) but I am sure the creators would prefer a fan base.I reccomend this module to anyone looking for a fun time.

Alot of time and effort has been placed into creating a balanced mod with unique scripts, weapons and gorgeously designed areas.
You start off at level 2 and get to perform some quick quests right off the bat to get familiar with your starting city and end up, basically, at level 3 within minutes. Was kinda nice not to have to be subjected to low-level grind.
Within 2 1/2 weeks, I was able to get a cleric to level 20. Quite satisfying, there's a certain degree of accomplishment and now my character is an integral member of most parties and usually called upon when healing services are required in the world.
Dev's always welcome suggestions, come be part of something unique where your thoughts, criticism and actions truly make a difference.

As both a recently positioned DM and a long time player on this world, I may be just a *bit* baised :P But nontheless, I believe in the comments I�m about to make.
I was around from the first Lands of Amnestria until the eventual creation of Lands of Amnestria 2. It is a very challenging world this is, and also due to the low magic world settings with some changed spells (which are done to created balance), you�re mostly left to your own wits to survive in this world. I have always been a fan of challenging worlds and have jumped from server to server for the 3 years I�ve been playing NWN, but I�m glad to say I�ve found a home here.
Is it a perfect world? Probably not. It�s� something of an acquired taste to be honest. It�s not a place where you can powergame and smash everything you see. Most likely you�ll be killed and if you lack the patience, you may not like the slower pace leveling compared to most servers.
Is the server constantly full of people? Nope. In fact, don�t be surprised to see only 1-2 people logged onto this server at any time, and even zeros. But why would I play on a quiet server?
PROS:
1) A very fun place for those who likes to go solo. Not exactly a single player module though. The world is quite challenging and very possible to go at alone if you�re smart enough. But when there�s enough of other people on, party play can be enjoyable as well.
2) Community. We�re a small community, but all of us are very friendly to each other and we all do get along. It�s as if all of us are friends with each other. Depending on people, this may be a bad thing, if you like to get into giant parties and smash through legions of orc tribes. For those who have been in small communities, it�s actually a lot more fun then you think. Friends are easy to make.
3) The world. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Of all the servers I�ve ever done before, the lands around here are aesthetically pleasing. But once you get to the epic levels� the place just blows you away. Sometimes it�s just fun to explore the world.
4) Custom content. The custom content here is extremely awesome. From the many scripts to the items. The resting system, while a bit difficult at first, adds a degree of realism enjoyed by some (rations are needed to rest, and depending on your rations depends on how much HP you recover, this makes inns crucial). The discipline card system is where the Gods gives you a random card to complement your abilities. From the ability to shoot ice from your finger tips, to creating a duplicate copy, to regenerate in water, to paralyze others� it�s very neat :) There�s tons more too, but you�ll have to find those out yourself.
5) subraces! Well, not that this is the only server that has subraces or anything, but that doesn�t make it any less cool. ;) I, myself, have always been a fan of Drows. There�s a lot to have fun with if you ever get bored of the typical races. I mean� who wouldn�t want to be a Minotaur, Illithid, or Vampire (which in my opinion is the coolest and difficult race to use)?
6) Surface VS Underdark Roleplay. Well, not that that is the only conflict there is, but being an Underdarkian plotting out ways to destroy/control cities are fun. So is killing annoying surfacers, yum ;) Not just that, but the events themselves are really fun to take place of.
CONS:
1) Lack of quests. Mostly just grinding through places at the moment. Though the devs are placing in more quests for the person to get into the world and find interesting ways for XP/gold
2) Lack of people at the moment. Small player base are a turn off to a lot of people. Of course, if you guys like the server and stay, that would help make it bigger ;P
3) Difficulty. The lower then average XP rates and the difficulty of the server makes it annoying for the Powergamers who enjoy plowing through monsters and getting to level 20 in a day. (in fact, getting to level 20 takes months for the average player, though you can get to 20 within a month if you�re really good)
Of course, LoA2 is always open to suggestions/criticisms from all players. While I admit it isn�t a server for everyone, at least give it a shot, you might like it. That�s how I found this server anyway :P
