Description
Shores of Winter is a low magic, low level, role playing server that focus on party adventure, exploration and most of all DMed quests and events with the player characters in the centre of the stories where they can affect and change the world depending on their actions.
Shores of Winter is set in a custom world (but using the Forgotten Realms deities). It is a harsh world, filled with intrigue, corruption and betrayal, where both NPC�s and PC�s dies permanently if the story demands (permanent death for PC�s are up to the players and DM�s involved to decide). NPC�s (and PC�s) constantly plot against each other in a dynamic world where the future is uncertain and where evil lurks behind every shadow. No story is written in stone � it is up to you to shape the future.
There are currently almost 200 areas to explore and more is being added every now and then, the server is a work in progress. Player houses are unique for characters that have earned them through RP, and are created by the players themselves (if they choose to).
If you want to focus on stories instead of grinding levels, then this may be the server for you. Hope to see you there.

EXCELLENT MOD! Must play for anyone who is a hard-core Roleplayer! Perfect environment, custom encounters, and many of the areas almost *beg* for an epic event to take place in! Slow levelling environment with plenty of player and DM interaction, doesn't matter if you like a steady plotline or a hilarious evening with some top-notch Role players. Shirqz, Myzel and Atemyat (all DMs) do a GREAT job (MisterMonkeyBanana MIA) of fulfilling every part of a role-play world, down to the smallest details such as a coin lying in someone's hand at the point of death.
