Based on the original model for a steel-colored broken longsword in James' LoF pack, then tweaked to fit better with the models and eliminate an unnecessary texture. This hak contains 4 broken blades (for longsword, shortsword, dagger and greatsword) in the 3 standard colors (steel, gold, bronze). Plus all new icons.

What I did with this in my module is I made a longsword with a broken blade and a visual effect on it. So the glow of the blade continued the full length, instead of just to the break.
I thought it looked cool, anyway. :)

Why would you want a broken blade? For story purposes, of course. You could make Narsil, Aragorn's sword which needed to be reforged. You could do a plotline around recovering the broken pieces of a hero's sword. You could give a character a powerful sword and then script NWN so it breaks in the middle of a fight, leaving them with a worthless piece of metal. All sorts of ideas.

Now what would be really slick would be to take these and create some fancy scripts which allow for broken weapons, and replace your weapon with a broken one if it breaks :) Makes Weapon Breakers possible :)

Woot! This was on my to-do list... any chance you can create a broken version of the Bioware generic, all-in-one wooden haft (for axes, maces, etc... they all basically use the same lower model)?

See now I was just thinking about this lol I have a quest with a talking dagger which is actually a broken piece of a staff. This makes things much more athentic.
Nice job, glad to see you polished it off with all the colours as well. Really wish more people would do that with weapon haks.
