This is the public version of the Ardan Nights elves. This hakpak is for all of the people making Middle-Earth modules. This hakpak will overwrite the current elf race (for PCs and custom NPCs only... the ones that you can change each body part) and replace them with a taller elf more true to Tolkien lore. Enjoy! Also thanks to Eligio Sacateca for making my life easier and so many others out there! **NOW INCLUDES THEFACE's ELVEN HEADS! Thanks theFACE!**
Hmmm, as far as I know, there is kind of "skeleton" model or something. Even if all body parts are resized, they don't joined properly. And this new, let's say, "skeleton" is because of robes. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But, sadly, I have no idea how to correct this. *sigh* The tall Elves was very nice, even if they don't match D&D rules.Madness is here! _________________________ Madness is here!

After the most recent patch, they seem to be the proper height(an inch or two taller than humans), yet there is one problem: they do not seem compatible with CEP robes, including the Elven Chain by DLA. Try it for yourself and you will see what I mean.
This is especially a shame for me because I find that of the few clothing options that actually seem somewhat Elven, most of them use the CEP robe feature. Even the most basic of outfits, such as the slave clothing (which I believe is also from the CEP), disconnects the arms, legs, and head of the Elf.
In short, this is what Tespis is talking about. It would be wonderful to have robe compatibility.

Same problem with Tespis here.
Starkindler if you still are somewhere close please give us a helping hand !!!
I love it, but what about compatibility with HotU? Such thing can be really useful. I'm just trying to make this, but something mess and the HotU heads are bigger, default robes working too, and rest of the body are still small and stretched by the pfe0.mdl and pme0.mdl. I have resized these models too, for compatibility with robes, don't work anyway. What's wrong? _________________________ Madness is here!

Looking at them next to humans, as far as I can tell, it would seem that only the torso is being enlarged. They are still shorter, yet their torsos are oversized.

This seems to work wonderfully with Elven females, yet when I attempt to create an Elven male, his neck is missing, his head connected directly to his shoulders. It is quite comical, really.
Might there be any way around this?

Any chance of making your hak Starkindler compatible with the Hordes of the Underdark expansion?

Starkindler thank you for this awesome piece of work.
I always believed that elves in NWN were too short for my personal tastes. To be thinner ,more ethereal that I understand but to resemble like small starved children, well that's another story!
I wanted to ask you if there is a method to resize to the new hight my existing head models, they must be more than 20-except the exceptionally good The Face's, take in consideration that I am an absolutely novice in this kind of thing although I operate computers for more than a decade.
I have downloaded Torlak's NWN mdl compiler, is this the way to go?
Congratulations again Starkindler for your contribution to enhance all NWN community gaming experience!

The input value in NWN Armory is 140 % of the size

Is there a way to use it with other armors than the default ones (I use Lisa's hak for clothes)? I don't use it only because of that, 'cos I really want taller elves. Or have you made it using NWN Armory? All I would need to do would be to input the scaling values to make armors. Thanks.

oops-- my mistake. I thought that elves had to be changed to the large Phenotype in order to be taller. Nevermind about that. But I would love to make them even taller--as tall as the 1/2 orcs in this game!
Thanks

Thanks for your work! Do you have a tool out there for further work? I'd love to learn it.
I have one small suggestion-- The female elves look a bit too chunky for Tolkien's Elves... Is this adjustable?

This may sound like an odd question, but I'm working a project and when seeing your hak, my mind thought it up.
Is it possible to use this to override a different race model, say the human/dwarf/halfling? This allowing for the smaller elven race and a taller elven race?

MLosselor that was the previous version of the ANelves... (the reason being I didn't have the faces permission yet). So now if you go ahead an download the newest version then it should work great. Also if you do download the newest version and also use theface's hakpaks make sure theface's hakpak are being overrided by my hak. Hope this helps.
Andy Martin this hakpak should work with the official campaign and the SoU campaign. It doesn't sound like to me that you are adding it to the module. You must go into the toolset and add the hakpak to the module.

Will this hak work with the official campaign or SoU? I put the hak in the file and didn't get any results. How exactly can I use it because the standard elves suck. Thanks

The pack is a beautiful edition to the game, but the equally beautiful Elf heads by The Face aren't resized for the taller bodies. When used together, the new Tolkien-style Elves look like they have shrunken heads. Is there any way you guys can team together and resize the heads to match the new bodies?

I've been waiting for a make-over of the elven race for quite some time. Thanks for delivering that. :)
