Beta version of the coast/beach rural tile add-on I have been working on. Adds sand and shallows terrain types to the rural set.
Current version: 0.52 Added initial support for grass to shallows terrain transitions. Also added grass/shallows to sand/shallows support(not the easiest thing to describe).

Really nice set. It could use another tile though, one that's half grass and half sand as the usual sand tile is a bit large for a thin shoreline. Looks like this would be super for islands though.

Nice tiles, but I can't seem to achieve the effect in the screenshot. Can anyone help with that?

The original groundbreaking tileaddition surely deserves my vote, if somewhat late in the game... _________________________ - Endoora -

Great hak, folded into virtually every mod I build. Wish it had cliffs and handled streams.

I guess they can't... That's on the suggestion list, then: road/bridge (and streams and walls, for that matter) over sand and shallows.
Also, any plans to make a Rural Winter version?

Howyousay... Sweet. 1 question: Can ships dock with the sand tiles?

OMG..I'm such an idiot..I figured it out...if anyone else comes across that problem...the shallows go over the sand and the water goes over the shallows..but.wow..I love this hak..thanks! Giving you a ten!

Okay....ME TOO!...Help!..I can't figure out how to link them..am I retarded? WAAAAh *cries* thanks :P
just tried to add my comment twice now, and it doesn't seem to be posting, or showing up on the board here. :(
Why won't it post? :( (usually comes up straight away, after I reload this page)
I'm quite sure I have my password and other details correct too.
Can someone/anyone PLLLLLLLEEEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEE answer to post very soon, as I don't always get any replies when I post here at The Vault. :-(
Anyhow - just downloaded this hak. Nice work btw! :-)
But I just have one small problem.
How do I link the "Water Tile" to the "Shallows Tile" to get the image we see in the picture above, without getting the rural grass inbetween?
I can place the sand down on grass, then link the shallows to the sand tile, but when I try to place the water tile next to the shallows, the 2 will not link together, and they are separated by a layer of grass, which makes it look quite odd. :-(
Can anyone out there PLEASE help me out here very soon!!
I would appreciate it!
Thanks! :o)

Hi there.
Someone PLEEEEAAAASSSSEEE try and answer my question A.S.A.P as I don't always get an answer when I post at the vault. :-(
Anyhow, great hak! But I'm having a small problem with something.
How do I link the "water tile" to the "shallows tile" (to create the same image as we see in the picture above) without having a layer of rural grass in between? I can't seem to create that image. :-/
I can link grass onto sand, and then the shallows onto that, (the sand) but when I try to add the water tile onto the shallows tile, they won't link together, and you get grass inbetween. :-/
Can someone/anyone out there help me out here please? - A.S.A.P!!
This is a great tileset addition. It was exactly what I was looking for. There is just one bizarre issue I noticed. When I viewed the minimap for the area, it showed large portions of the sand as water. I don't know why it would be doing this.

Fantastic Hak, Especially as its a beta, only thing i found was that for some reason a couple of areas I had already made went a bit wrong, ie. a couple of houses disapeered and instead there was sand tiles but all in all WICKED!

I like what's been done with this thus far. The two most useful tings I can imagine to augment this package for my particular use would be:
1.) The addition of a cliff / shallows transition.
2.) Integrating the shallows wave hak into a rurals
tileset groupping.
