Contains over 1500 of what I personally think are the some of the most useful and well done placeables on the vault. The content primarily represents what I personally need and want for my own NWN projects. Thanks to all of the builders and modelers who contributed to the creation of this hak. They, not I, deserve full credit for the contents of this hak. If you would like to vote for this hak than I encourage you to vote for the original content creators listed below. This is one of several haks that I will be releasing that will combine common content in a modular fashion. Meaning: each file will be intended to use as a stand-alone hak or in combination with several other builder haks. They will be updated periodically and will form the basis for my own personal NWN creations. Just thought someone else might get some use out of them.
The included .erf file contains blueprints (around 1400) for nearly all of the placeables. Some of the placeables included have portraits (about 200), but these portraits have not been assigned to the placeables in the .erf so they will need to be added as you build. The .erf was created with HotU v1.61 and therefore will only be useable by HotU owners.
Sorry no screen shot. For a complete list of the included placeables check the readme included or the link below. Updated 2/12/04 - Added some additional placeables including some boats and boat related items, fog and water, wagons, and Veldin's new placeable collection. See the readme for complete details.

Hi. To the people having problems with the hak, the problem is most likely that you have the erf (which has the same name as the hak) in the hak folder when you load the hak into the module. The module is actually loading the erf instead.

Hey guys and gals
Sorry I havent been checking these post. I have been away from NWN for the past several months and unfortunately do not at this time know when I might get back to work on the JXP Series. Hope everyone is still enjoying the haks and continuing to expand on the NWN universe. Though I will not at this time be providing support for the JXP series of haks, I would appreciate suggestions for expanding the series when work does continue. Take care all.

- Any feedback is appreciated. I most certainly want to get rid of any bugs. My intention is to make all of the content (haks, mods, and erfs) as user friendly as possible. Having waded through an unbelievable amount of community content I can really appreciate a hak that is well put together and ready out of the box. Continue to let me know if you experience any more bugs or issues that I may not be aware of.
Just wanted to let you know JD that I downloaded ALL your stuff and plan on utilizing ALL of it. Thanks for taking the time to DO all that you do. Great combos, great hak paks. Well done, pat yourself on the back. I know not alot of people show their appreciation (god knows I have had more then My fair share of unappreciative whelps on My stuff) but there are some that do and I hope that We show enough appreciation to drive you to conitnue to do all that you do.
Take care,

are another story altogether! ;-)
JD, I have updated to the latest on all your haks, including the Master Compatibility. I use the Master_hak_d with elven and swamp in the mix. I have also downloaded the latest placeable hak and .erf, but still see a lot of missing placeables.
It really is not a problem as I just reset the appearance for each. I noticed today that most of the blood splats, wall types 1 through 10+) were missing today. I hope that helps.
Draugmahl, I noticed this as well. I assume you are talking about the placeables from the included .erf file. I had to set the appearance on a number of them after importing it, excellent hak otherwise.

Hey peeps, I'm using all of the JXP haks and when I do, quite a number of the placeables don't show up. The erf's are loaded but when you attempt to place some of them, there's nothing but a paint brush. Off the top of my head I know that under "military" everything from hanging man down to hanging woman do not show up. I tried with only the placeables hak and they do show up, but with the others, nada. I am using the compatibility hak master_d. Thanks for any help.

blah, still doesn't work. I have tried it twice with just the placeable hak, redownloaded it, used the erf, tried without the erf, tried making items and selecting the graphics. No luck =/

I just created a new module called "placeable". I only added your placeable hak. I still cannot access the placeables, they are listed in the custom section, but no graphics are present and I cannot select the custom graphics from pull down when I try to edit them.
I am going to try to redownload the placeables, .rar format usually messes things up for me (guess I am unlucky), so I will redownload and see if that fixes it.

I am having a problem with your placeables. All the other haks seem to work fine except for this one. All the custom placeables are listed, but it says the graphics are not present for the placeables. I have tried every combination of your 2DAs and I have juggled around the priorities of the haks and nothing seems to work. Is the placeable hak messed up possibly? Or the 2das?

hey JD
great work btw.
is there anyway that you can just post your updates to these haks instead of having to d/l the whole thing again?
have only just got your first version of this and see that youve added more stuff,

It seems to me that this is a perfect candidate for community standardization. That way, you don't have to force players to download a gigantic hak to play your PW or epic mod because everybody will be creating with the same set of tools. The smaller haks featuring individual tilesets or placeables serve more as demonstrations to be incorporated into the massive combo haks. JDPnS really does fantastic work. I have been working with these paks as they came out and I have no serious problems whatsoever. Keep it up!
sorry about that last post, i'd forgotten the pines and canopies were released in the mountain and forest haks and not the placeables hak. as always, thanks much for your work on this library of haks you've put together.
it seems the canopies and pine trees have been left out of the updated 2da.

Any thoughts on doing a clothing hak? I'm impressed with everyhing you have put out thus far and I am using them in my latest build and I would appreciate a clothing hak.
Keep up the good work.

- Glad to here you got things working. Happy building!

- Love the screenshots. They are downright inspiring. I'll certainly be waiting for your prefab. Its right up my alley and I will probably make liberal use out of it.
I have gone back and added haks one at a time and this time it was successful. I laid down about 150 objects on the first module and if I had to guess, I would say something there was causing the load problem. So really not sure. Right now I have two modules, with the same hak structure and one will load and the other will not. I had a similiar conflict with Shazz(something) placables a long time ago with multiple crystals in one area would cause a crash on area load and this seems like the same issue.
One opinion on the size. This is a TON of custom content. If you are on a dial-up, then this type of set-up for a module isn't practical - no matter how it is packaged IMO. This type of massive collection hak is designed from the ground up for broadband. Beauty is, all the components are available here on the vault, so if you can't afford broadband, download the components and keep them specific to the area you are creating. IE break the module into custom content related pieces and load modules from within modules to get around the merging issue if you aren't comfortable doing the work that has been done to make this package.
Anyway - it is in my campaign. Players better get ready for the download cause like it or not, it is going in. :)
Dem, ignore the corner_onuse.nss missing errors (I believe that is what it is). It will not affect anything. Place the 2da's in your override, just make sure to back it up first if it isn't empty.
i'm using them all, only thing i have run accross are a couple missing models in the placeables(goblin tent is one of them... and one of the military placeables i think) and i get an occassional AR Error stating that some placeables names do not match, don't know what that means exactly, but everything seems to be working. thanks much for these haks, will be using them in a pw due for beta testing this spring. thanks much for your work on these and for sharing them on the vault.

- I see you still are having the same problem. How about I email you at the address you provided below. It may be easier for us to figure out what the problem is. I will try to send you a message this evening. My biggest worry is that there is something wrong with the haks themselves. Everything is working fine for me. Are you having any trouble getting the individual haks working independently? Is anyone else having trouble getting the haks to work together?

JX_P Master C is at the top, with base below it and then the others below it. Even then, without importing the ERFS, it still says "Model not found" when trying to edit or create new placeables/items. Still not sure of the problem (Boy do I feel dumb :P).

Make sure that the JXP_Master_c hak is at the top. That should solve your placeable problem. That is if the master hak isn't already at the top. The second thing you need to do is check to see if the placeables and weapon models are showing up in the toolset at all. Not by way of the blueprints provided in the erf. Grab any default weapon or placeable and attempt to change its appearance manually. Is it working?
As far as the missing .nss file. Ignore. In most cases a script includes 2 files: a .nss and a .ncs file. Some scripts only include one of these. Not a big deal and in this case can be ignored completely.

Yes I am using the master_c hak, and no I am not using any other haks besides the main JX_P ones (Why would you want to? They have everything :P). Another issue I've seen is whenever I try to import the haks for the placeables or armory I get a missing resource of an ".nss" file (Forgot the specific name). But as I said, haks seem to be in the proper order of priority in the mod.

In response to the post below.
What JXP_Master hak are you using? You should be using JXP_Master_c. If your using the wrong one that may explain your problems. If your using any other haks you need to make sure that they are not overriding the placeable and baseitem 2da's. Look into it and let me know if you still can't figure it out. I'm happy to help.

Assuming Bioware does not decide to release another expansion, I think I may have finally found a combo that I can live with. Excellent work; you do credit to the original creators by making their work universally accessible.
