Updated 9/14/2002: Added that brass footrest thing that most bars seem to have. The hakpak now includes two sections without and two sections with a footrest. Oak and Cherry bar sectios. One curved for corners, one straight for... hmm I'll let you figure it out. Adds two new placeable models (that don't overwrite anything) to create a more realistic bar than using tables or crates in your taverns. The Readme contains all the information you're likely to need to use. The file is a self extracting archive created with WinRAR.

this is a nice, simple hak. If my memory serves me well, the only issue with this placeable is it's height. It causes a break in the line of sight. An easy fix is to lower it slightly. Unfortunately, lowering it also hides the footrest. _________________________ The VIVE NWN Project.

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 18 that made this score of 8.66.

Slight problem. My hidden wall doors now show up as a
portion of the bar! Any ideas as to how to fix this or why
this would be happening? EXCELLENT hak by the way. I was
so tired of making bars out of crates!

Just wanted to say GREAT WORK! I can hardly set up a tavern
now without your bar in it. Unfortunately, the new 1.25
patch now conflicts with it. I can't use both the secret
door, and the bar. Here's hoping that it can be fixed.
Thanks for all the work!

I just wanted to put in my two cents worth here. I was
told about this Hak Pak from a member of my Faerun
Builders group on Yahoo. I downloaded it and installed it.
WOW!!!!!! I must say that this is some of the best work
I've seen on custom material. VERY NICE JOB!!!! I posted a
message about this Hak Pak in the group and also uploaded
it to our forum site for the members to use in their
module creation. Again, VERY NICE JOB and keep the cool
stuff flowing please!

Hey Danmar,
I made the small wine casque. I just posted it here.
As soon as they get it up. If you want add it to your hak.
Looks really good sitting on the end of the bar. They could
script a waitress over to them to get drinks.
I didnt put a pwk to it. But I can if you want. Just let me
know.

That's a +blocked+ fine bar you came up with there! *****

Hey Danmar,
I just pulled the wine casque out of hte kitchen set.
Am fixing to resize it so it will fit on the bar. Once I
get it done if you want I will send it to you so you can
add it to your hak. Would look good sitting on the bar. The
stock size one doesnt look to bad. A little big though.
Stock it looks like a 50 gallon casque. Let me get it down
to about 15 gallon appearance and if you want I will either
post it as a add on for yours or acan send it to you and
you add it so they get the full effect of a bar setting
with it.
Let me know

I've updated the hakpak to now include copies of the two
sections of the bar pieces that have brass footrests.
Not sure what the delay time is between the update and the
new file being available but when the description changes
the new file should be there as well.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments. I'm glad you
like it.
In re: to Lupin III, I in fact had this in mind. Stay
tuned.
The height was something I was iffy on. Its higher than
the standard tables, as I, being 6-4 hate low tables (lower
back pain causing spawns of satan), but then I realized
that well we have to consider the little people and in NWN
the little people are even smaller than usual. So this was
a compromise between the halforcs and the halflings.
Again thanks for the comments!

Great job. I think this has been long overdue for
inclusion. I hated using tables and boxes.
I wonder if you could make some bookshelves with bottles
and cups to go behind it? While your at it why not make
several types of bookshelves that have no books but has
boxes, bags, bottles, and different items. I hate putting
bookshelves full of books for shelves that are suppose to
contain other stuff.
Look at me rambling. Anyway, thanks for this nice hak.

heh, now make a script that has the tender slide the drink
all the way down the bar. whoosh....

I'd like to make a suggestion, but first.. this is an excellent bar! Bars got their name by having a very literal definition. Early bars we're not sat at with stools, but rather stood in front of. A metal bar (typically brass) would run down the length of the bottom of the bar itself and act as a place to prop up a foot.
Suggestion is, make a couple more versions of true, medieval bars! =)
