Title  LOK Tileset Addon #6
Author  Danmar
Submitted / Updated  03-28-2003 / 03-28-2003
Category  Tilesets
Expansions  NWN - 1.29 or lower
Description
LOK Tileset Add-On #6 Portions copyright 2003 Dennis S. Dollins Description: Adds 15 reskinned and or rotated variations of the OC house tiles for the rural set as well as two new houses and one water driven mill. These were created for the LOK campaign and may have some flaws in shadowing or animation of window panes from night to day. These slight cosmetic issues are deemed acceptable by me but you may be more picky than I and or have more time to fix the small but time consuming details. It adds House 3 through 16 under Features and Water Mill under Groups. Dennis aka Danmar www.landsofkray.com

Don't bother looking for 1-5 at the moment. Please no discussion on zip versus rar. Rar compresses 50% to 80% better, end of story. If you don't have winrar then try www.ultimatezip.com.

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 7 that made this score of 8.57.

I almost had to do pathfinding on the raised bridge set and shrunk hills luckly i didnt so they got released if i had to manually set up the pathfinding they would have never b
been released.

LOL @ Coccode...

Posted by Danmar ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-03-30 06:49:00
Coccode:

Well for one thing there are only 5 or 6 castle wall tiles done. No castle tiles at all. As Adam said I hit a huge issue with pathfinding that I and several others were unable to get around. I don't know if its the way the pathing works, the way the tiles were set up as single tile walls rather than double tile walls like bw's or what but collectively 3 people after me spent literally hours and hours trying to get the pathing to work and failed.

My time is pretty limited and as this was time that wasn't being productive I set them aside against the hope that better pathing may make it into a patch or in XP1.

God bless Emphyrio great castle tiles (i cant post in guild builders forum) i hope its true that he need only a month..

for Danmar tiles i dont understand why release some tiles and not others if its to have a lot player in his campaign i dont think it work cause i can join the campaign ,get the haks and then leave the campaign and share secret haks

French castles? Sounds very promising. I look forward to it.

Yes. Indeed uf you have castels in the works let us know. Bioware needs help!

Coccodè

If you looked at his site he has a number of projects underway and not all are done. Some he may view has having too limited an application for general use and never release. Some may just get droped for what ever reason.

Keep in mind he is making these models for his own use and making them available to us. He didn't have to make any available.

Danmar WHAT ABOUT CASTLE TILES ? are they in hak 1-5 ? why u dont publish them?

Posted by Mysterychicken! ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-03-29 16:20:00
Thanks for answering my question, I hate it when people answer everyones questions but mine. By the way, you are one of the few good really dedicated people in the community and I thought you might like to hear that from a very mysterious chicken! :)

To all:

Glad you find them useful. I just started working on a rural based module for the first time (too much building content not enough building modules) and realized very quickly that something had to be done about the house situation or lack there-of.

MysteryChicken!:

1 through 5 are for my private campaign. 1 and 2 are my LOK Rural and LOK forest companions to the LOK Dungeon tileset which is number 3. Number 4 is City Exterior with Thstalloni's alleyways. Number 5 is city interior that started with Veldin's blanked tavern tiles to which I've cleaned up a few more of the tavern and some of the shops as I need them. The only one that's not in public release is number 5 which is still growing as I find more tiles I need to alter in the official tileset.

Just a question, not trying to be smart or anything. Addon #6 of what? I see no Addon #2 or #4 or anything. Just wondering because I like the LOK haks and think it would be nice and in order to use Addons #1 - #6.

Danmar in my humble opinion you are one of the best things to happen to NWN. The more variety the better! Thanks for making so no two towns need look so much like one enother
