Forgotten Realms Fans should recognize her (I hope). The intrepid adventuress (yes, read the book cover back) Alias in her 'Bond-age' outfit. Makes Aribeth look well armored. ;) I made her to be my new DM character. ************Expanded to both sexes both pheno in my new hak: Now included in CLOTHES HORSE SoU/1.3 Padded
Notes on Costume for the Picayune and Alias fans: In order to have her Epaulettes extend up to the neck they must be permanently attached to the torso. Originally I attached them to the shoulders hoping to make them optional, but quickly nixed that. The left one skewed at a 35 degree angle when she was standing because of the default pose of female characters. Even worse, when the character walked both shoulders rotated between being aligned and the 35 degrees off kilter. Not very noticeable if you use short shoulder pads that are styled like the Bioware ones but very awful with this long epaulette, they looked like a whirlygigs on the shoulders. I've always thought that something was wrong with female shoulder pads and this extended version one amplified it.
Alias also has a 'tall Lion' belt that extends over her belly. I made it and then took it off. There is a problem again with the default stance of the females, they cock their pelvis and belt at about a 30 degree angle with respect to the torso which remains vertical. This causes the Lion head that extends up from either a belt or pelvis to skew at a horrible looking angle instead of being symmetrically placed over the torso. So then I tried it on the torso. Now it had the proper alignment with chest but had clipping and gapping issues with the belt and pelvis! The upshot is the outfit works and looks way better in NWN if the torso (upper) part of the belt is omitted. *****As usual, I made the base AC0. You can alter the chest 2da file to change it to a different base AC if you prefer. Email me if you don't know how.

A nice set of clothing, it's a shame that almost all of the good clothing in NWN is for female characters. _________________________ The VIVE NWN Project.

As always, these look great Lisa. I was wondering if you could maybe do some sheilds, cloaks, armor, banners, or signs with the symbols of Selune, Shar, Bane , Cyric, Lathandar, Chauntea, Silvanus, the Seldarine, Aerdrie Faenya(winged elven goddess of the avariel), the Most Nobel Order of the Radiant Heart, or the Purple Dragon Knights. Or if none of those could you make a bunch of different statues for them. I am sorry if that is alot to ask but you are one of the best designers on the vault, and I do not know how to myself.

Ummm, just so you know Juason, the books came out long before the game was published, the game is derivative of the books. **smiles**

Also a big fan of Alias (read all three of the Finder's Stone Trilogy). There's also a Harper's novel that focuses on her called Masquerades that is incredible.

Juason,
Yes it was actually a three book series
Azure Bonds,Wyvern's Spur,Song of the Saurials
I had to did them out recently for my mom (she's suddenly reading all this Forgotten Realms stuff LOL)
Posted by Juason ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-07-17 05:04:00
Ohhh! They DID make a novel about Curse of the Azure Bonds! I had previously read the entire 3 book Pool of Radiance series, but never was able to locate this one. I just checked on Amazon and Ebay...what would be my best bet to locating it in paperback so I can continue to complete my collection? And awesome work in reproducing some of the feel of the second computer game I ever played (for the commodore 64 of course) ;)

Jarlaxle's,
This hak is an add on to My Expanded Clothes Horse Hak.
If you already had that hak you can combine this with it to get just the new items. After you add a hak, make sure you save the module, quit out of the toolset totally, then when you restart you will see the new items.
Now that I have HighSpeed internet (2 days now :), I also added this to the full hak so only those who have the older Exp. Hak need this.

This hak isn't working at all for me for some reason. I searched through all my clothing pieces and they're all the same. I even tried the hak all by itself because I wanted to be sure that no other haks were overwriting it. Still no difference.

Hmmm now if someone just made a tailored coat... hmmm....

To lighten this up a bit. Errol Flyne, excellent, but Lisa, I feel sure you must be a fan of Wesley and Inigo Montoya? How about The Dread pirate Roberts!!

>> But did Lisa really invent the robes?
How is that even relevant? Most of the "first" custom content stuff done for NWN is now considered rubbish because everyone has learned so much about how the game engine works over the past year. Add in the fact that many, many of the content developers had never touched a 3d modeling proggy before NWN (like Lisa and myself) and you can see that their work has also evolved over this period.
The only thing that is relevant is that Lisa has created more variations of clothing than any three custom content developers combined. Love it or hate it, she has been prolific. And it's not like anyone is stopping other's from creating clothing, but you just don't see it because it's not easy work. Her texturing is also greatly improved from her earlier work, such as the kimonos which are outstanding. And many of her other "quirky" addons fill a need in the game that no other developer has stepped up to.
And the final point is this: how can **ANYONE** kivetch about free stuff. You're not paying to use it. She's not getting paid to create it. Unless you have constructive criticism, please go back under the rock you came from and leave the custom content developers alone. They all deserve at the very least some courtesy... if not outright appreciation.

reading the DLA interviews here on the vault, i didnt really understand what they meant by the '80's art look'. until i saw that pic that is. whoa, gotta love that hair, my hippie aunt would be proud of that mane.

Lisa was one of a very small group who simultaneously developed robes. She may have been slightly first or slightly third. Irrespective of her 'exact' position, she has done the best robes in the game and are the only one's I plan on using in my PW in development.
As for this current set, I can only say two things:
1. Wow
2. Like any great artist, she is far harder on herself than any of the midgets. And before you open your toothless mouth's, in your brainless head's, to trash her stuff put your stuff on the vault and show us how 'godly' you are. I work on tilesets and they are 5x easier, yet they are still hard.
