(this is the third time I have had to write this sodding description - someone get rid of that flippin 'Italian Job' ad!) OK, for the thrid tiem now. Team Prometheus (NexusJnr & Alpha Male) decided that default weapon set in nwn was poor, the game is great in every respect cept for weapons (and cloaks but I wont go there). So this is our first offering to you the community. 27 new maces, replacing maces to be exact. As this is a beta we expect a few problems, for example - the textures are still hige (512x512) because we haven't compressed anything yet, about 2 icon files need fixing (yes it has full icon sets for every mace) and the effects need sorting. It has all the icons, all parts are interchangeable so that is a total of about 10_P_3 maces (or 10!/(10-3)! ) - which is basicly a lot of maces. We decide to release it now because we wanted you all to see what we are doing behind the scenes, and because it was bloody tedious.
OK, so we are gonna replace the entire of the default weapons (keeping the good ones - but with retexture :D) and add some missing weapons, such as picks, better hammers, axes, and lots more - but wy tell now eh :D. Well that's all for now, just watch for the next installment I guess , should be about a week - which is what this took. Oh I know there are some idiots that post here, juat a warning. please dont falme this, if you dont like it, dont download it, or critic constructively. we dont HAVE to post content here, it can be posted elsewhere, but the idiots out there are spoiling it for the content creators and the community in general (felt it had to be said after seing too many people having their work shot down) Now go bash some undead Nex and Alpha Male Oh we are also looking for some people to join prometheus, if interested drop us an email ;)

These maces in general are nice, but the quality control was near to none. It's going to take a lot of work to get these things working smoothly. Not to mention some of them are just plain hideous. Still though, with a great deal of work, I can make these a great addition to NWN. Thanks =) _________________________ The VIVE NWN Project.

The models look real nice. Unfortunately, several (most?) of them require cleaning for stray polygons that cause bad shadows. Just an FYI...Carpe Terra, Project Lead

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 18 that made this score of 8.83.

Play planescape:torment, or read some of the old planescape 2nd edition d&d books. You'll find out what sodding means.

This is an Incredible HAK!! all my mosd have it loaded now the textures are incredible. You said you were doing other HAK's? do and of them include two-handed hammers (i was pissed that they were "left-out" of the final game), please keep me posted.

Very good work guys. I have no problem with this overwriting the default maces ingame because they were pretty dire, and well, these aren`t. I look forward to seeing more of your work soon.

These weapons looks GREAT !!! THANKS a lot for ur work!!!
But could U make these new maces not replacing the old one of the Toolset but adding to them?
( I don't know if my sentence was grammatically correct, because english isn't my language... )

Waraxes. AWESOME!!! Cannt wait to see those babies.

These look lovely. You have adressed an oft overlooked weapon, the mace. I, as well as many other builders I am sure, would appreciate a more builder-friendly hak. And while I do know how to rename files, I am far too lazy to rename 30 or so of them :-p
I would simply love it if you people and Shadowhak/whoever else worked on it teamed up. I await with bated breath the next release by either you or Shadowhak. Keep up the good work.

on the issue of combining haks:
We would be happy to include any content by any other authors, but we are wanting to get out set complete first, we are working to a system and when you start bringing in outside work the system gets shot down, but if anyone has content they want in our hak they can join the team by mailing eiter of us, or if requested we will contact them when we are finished to add their content with ours ;) -
we do admit that our hakl isn't non-builder friendly atm, but it will be. Incase you are not a builder there is a quick way you can test the maces in game - extract the hak to your override folder and all the maces ingame will be replaced - although you only will get the first 4 or so.

oops, just wanna change something on that last post so I dont confuse :D - when I said ceiling set by Danmar, I dont mean he's working with us, I mean I saw in atutorial that he reccomended that and with our work what he says is gospel :D
Should give him a quick mention, this Hak wouldn't be out so soon if it wasn't for him, and we appriciate all the help we had from him (fro tutorials to fast reply on his email), cheers D.

Sry about the size guys, like i said the textures aint compressed yet and a few other tweaks could be done. Thnx for the comments so far.
Fe people have asked, the poly count fo all the weapons is decent, few go above 300 (our ceiling set by danmar) max is about 320 and most are around 200-240 - this is slightly higher than the default, BUT the amount of power actually needed to play the game will more than compensate for this - personally I think bioware aimed a little low on the weapon poly count).
Think we are gonna start some war axes this week. but we'll see, taking a break for a few days and working on our entry for next months competition :D.
Thnx for the kind words, but we would like some criticism too - if you dont like something tell us now so we can change it :D.

First I would like to say well done. This looks A+++++++ the ram-headed maces are me fav. ;-]
Second: A WEEK. Now that's fast.
Third: I agree with Den about you getting in touch with ShadowHawk. Folks out there don't all know how 2 rename weapons and get them into a hak together so I think that it would be great for the community I you worked together. Even if it is to just make sure you don't overwrite each others stuff.
Forth: DAMN I LIKE THOSE RAM-HEADED MACES!!! :-]
Peace out

Donť worry you wount hear anything nasty of me. Just what it deserves:
This is absolutely brilliant! Cannot wait for axes and hammers, which are by my reason one of the worst looking weapon models in NWN.
