It is always nice to see new heads. I found one or two of them to fit in rather well with the rest of NWN. A few of the heads are a bit smaller than your standard elf head, which gives a weird look. Overall, the hair is done very well and I plan to use at least one of these heads in my Vault Compilation. _________________________ The VIVE NWN Project.

Hey! I know what I did wrong. I made all the edits, renaming the references to pfe0_head013, in Notepad and when I went to save the mdl file, I forgot to use quotation marks--> "pfe0_head020.mdl" Now I can renumber all of those elven heads so they won't bump out the male elven HoTU head models!

So, how do you rename the head models so that they won't override the newer HoTU elven (elfen) head models?
I tried to edit the .mdl file using a text editor, to replace all instances of the text pme0_head013 to pme0_head020. But the renamed head, say-pme0_head020, crashes in the toolset.
I have renamed both mdl and plt files to pme0_head020.
What is the best text editor to use? Notepad? Wordpad? Word? Is there an application around that will edit mdl files without reformatting the text?

A great group of head models that capture a more classic elven appearance.

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 10 that made this score of 8.50.

Oh man, I've been trying to track down these heads for MONTHS. They're the original, and the best. Thanks for putting them up, and of course, thanks to Nirjin for making them :)

Wow, it's so freaking nice to have elf heads that actually LOOK like elves. It's really cool that you got it to work for PCs also.
For the people who can't get it working, you have to make a module using the hak, then play that module and you can use the elf heads in that module only.

You have to add them to the mod in Module Properties in
the toolset

I dont get it..How do I add these files to the override
folder?
Posted by Anonymous ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-02-05 01:17:00
Terron just so you know you can use hack combine to
seperate individual files then rename the file the same as
the head you want to override.

Very nice work...only thing i want are the individual files
for each head. Then you can add them to override and use
them in other games.

I only a couple gripe with these heads. A few of them have
visable lines running down the center of the face. The
resolution isn't great when viewed up close yet that really
makes no difference since it can only really be noticed in
the toolset. Also on the long hair models when you look
down the hair tilts with the head while it should stay down
on the back. Just look at an item on the ground with these
heads if you don't know what I mean. Still these are much
better than biowares. I would love to see these heads in a
RAR file so they can be used without the hackpack. Also if
you would fix the line problem and the hair animation that
would be nice. Still great work by you and Nirijan.

Ooo, I like these heads. Only gripe- they seem a little
overly feminine- for the female heads, just lengthen the
hair. Still, Nirijan did very well with these heads. I'd
like to see more.

Read, then talk ;)
I've stated those are Nirijans heads, I only reskinned
them, for I don't think the original skins looked elven at
all...
And it seams more like the Shadows of Faerun people
included Nirijans head (with the original skins) in their
hak pack.
But, I know, hissing is much more fun than just reading
someones credits...

I'm afraid (d'j00 MoFo's) this was made a while ago, check
out The Shadow's of Faerun module, it had those male elven
heads + new female elven heads, new human male heads and
new human dwarf heads... This may or may not have been made
by Nath- whatever, but my theory is he/she has ripped it
from The Shadows of Faerun and reskinned it slightly.

Very nice work. When viewed closely, the heads seem a
little bit blurry, but overall these still will look 10
times better than the standard heads that were provided
with the game.
Finally some elves with hair!
