I was just playing around with some of Bioware's left over files that didn't make it into the game. I changed these head models into helmets (masks) so that any race can use them. I just threw the hood in as a bonus that can be used together with my cloak hak. Instructions for using the masks are in the readme included in the zip file.
Update: This hak now includes 11 masks plus a hood. Masks included: Bear, Demon, Dragon, Hill Giant, Hood, Mummy, Orc, Tiger, Troll, Werewolf, Wolf, Zombie. Click the picture above for the new lineup.
Do you know where I could find a Zorro type of mask- one that covers the head down to just over the nose, and could it be used as a helmet type thing??

I've got to admit I have been a fan of all of Kinarr's works, these Masks being my favorites yet. Honestly, I am curious if there is a way to make these into useable PC heads, or if any one knows how to and would be willing to drop me an e-mail with the info. Keep up the good work Kinarr, I look forward to your next great work.

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 17 that made this score of 8.76.

This is very cool stuff. There's two things on my wishlist for this hak: 1) to, as an optional version, have the colors match to the skin color of the wearer (so it can look less like a mask and more a head); 2) to have the masks scale a bit (I tried one on a female human and it looked like she had this giant head). I could forsee using the masks to essentially create NPC races. Does anyone know how to do this? I sure don't.

Kinaar - just a great word of thanks. I have been a builder for quite a while, and both of my completed mods contain a Fox race. These masks - in particular old Wolfie - have been essential. One request to yourself - I want to ask the community if they can convert the wolf mask into a head model, and attempt to have a race rather than an equippable head. If that makes any sense. Plus, a tail would be top drawer. Any hoo, thank you for the masks and I hope to hear from you soon!

Since last time i posted i have managed to get the masks to be a 100% success. All I did was make a back up of m override folder and place the mask files in the new copy, and like magic they worked, not to mention being compatable in every module...
i really look forward to more from this guy, he is excellent. Maby a minotaur mask is on it's way, who knows.

Kinarr, you should include an empty model if you do an update, blank head, no head at all really, would be excellent to implement with an on hit for vorpal weapons,
"OFF WITH YO HEAD!", gunna keep pokin around and see if I can find one,
here's to hoping for headless victims of vorpal weapons!

Saint Augustine... come on man! just get yourself to a tutorial on using haks! there's several on this site...its really straightforward- slagging Kinarr off is way out of line!! Including these in your own mods ain't exactly rocket science- but building them in the first place might well be!!

Looks good .. shame though there are no instructions on how to install it and get it to work!! Like many others who posted here, I D/L it and can not get it to work. If you going to all this trouble to make it, you might as well add an install note to most of us have issues getting it to work.
Thank you.

Goin' by the screen shot these look excellent equiped. Sadly, like some of the others, I am having no luck in geting these to appear in my mod. The last helmet number I reach is 32, and even though the masks are listed, they are simply bags, equipped or not. Any help on geting these up would be greatly appreciated :) Keep up the good work.

cool idea, but might you consider adding things like ballroom masks and the like?

it would be great if you created a mask for each character
race...

Wow... these are fantastic. I plan on using them as quest
items, with monster trophy drops taken to a crafter
to "create" the masks.

I love this hak and the erfs, I would say its one of the
essentials. Not only can you use it in your mods to make
more interressting and unique equipment you can use it with
npcs to make new races or immitations of other races like a
rakashasa (gd sure I spelled that wrong).
One thing though, I'd love to see some sort of tutorial on
how to dig these out of the game's files. Then I could go
to work and im sure dig out alot of equally interresting
stuff.

Sounds like a great mod.! Ufortunatly I can't get it to
work! I added it to my hakpack but it won't show when I
added it to the NPC. I have tried to aadd it to the
Override folder but then it won't show under custom
period! Is there anyway to overcome this problem??
I really would like to use this one :(
Thx for the help.

Just brilliant,I thought the cloaks were good enough but
now you bring out animal masks and hoods with like no
face, good for Grim Reaper characters or copies of Tyri(a?)
el from Diablo 2!
A question, when do you make robes?
and I wanna see if a Kellog's advert could be made using
these haks? Tony the Tiger with a cape? Disgruntled Tony
The Tiger baring fangs and brandishing a really great huge
Halberd running to the screen shouting rather obscene tiger
noises...?
.....or maybe not....anyhoo,nice animal masks.

and maybe you clould make a dragon helm or maybe a cow!(Die
you......I mean moo.:)

This is a cool +blocked+ing hak pak.I mean the +blocked+ing animal
heads +blocked+ing rule. How about a +blocked+ing half +blocked+ing
animal druid mother+blocked+er with one of these +blocked+ing things
on? Just +blocked+ing awesome mother+blocked+er!!!

That kicks a lot of @$$... You should really consider
including tails into the pack, that would double it's
download value! Maybe even emotes to make the tail wag...
that would kick even more +blocked+...
