Odin Blade, I made this for many reasons, the fact that no decent textured weapons come shipped with the game, the fact that I saw a sword like this and wanted a good looking sword and because I haven't done anything for NWN yet when I'm crazy about it. Hak is just the sword and texture (low res 256x256 - if you want a 512x512 email me). I think I'm gonna be doing a lot more weapons in the coming weeks - any requests send em through. I have no icon for this weapon yet, I'm workin on it, but for now it uses the longsword default icons. The idea behind odin is evil, I'm gonna release anothre I am working on maybe tommorow called 'leviathan' which is for the oppisite alignment. Well hope you have fun with it. Leave a comment ;) --nex

Yep spoon hit the nail on the head - look at "I saw a sword like this and wanted a good looking sword".
The blade is called odins blade, and was built by a fantastic company (the link is in the texture file ;). I did do their entire collection of "glitzy" swords. but I got snapped up by DLA shortly after this and haven't really had time to make them available to the public. - but you can expect some DrangonLance specific weapons of this quality when the mod comes out. thanks for the support and sry about not replying for such a long time.

For your information, the sword has nothing in common with the mythological character Odin. The model is however based on a "real" sword called "Odin's Blade" which are pretty well made but I prefer the fantasy swords and daggers made by Kit Rae. ;)

Hey, would you mind making a lethal looking Halberd with a snakes head in it or something? It's just that Halberds are by far the coolest weapon, and there aren't any decent looking ones in the game. Cheers,

Mufflon is right ... nor is Loki a 'bad' god ... he was a trickster ... the norse gods didnt have a god of evil ... strictly speaking.

Umm Martin, Odins not the good guy, he´s more like neutral. And he´s the god of wisdom and warriors.And he fights with a spear not a sword, although I can´t remember the spears name... So drop the book "American gods" and read a real book about old norse gods!

Saying that Odin is the good guy and Loki is the bad guy would be simplifying things quite a bit.. pick up the book "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman for an interesting angle on this. Oh, and nice sword! :D

Hey, your weapon looks cool! ...I've got a request if you don't mind doing one... I'm looking for a truely immense greatsword, one that has a blade about as tall as a half-orc (handle is extra), and about as wide as a halfling. No real crossguard to speak of, and fairly plain looking aside from that. If you don't mind doing that, it would be really cool. :)
