DLA's beautiful Elven Chain being an inspiration and motivation, this adds four additional 3rd Ed. PHB types of armor to NWN v1.59 or later. Neither SoU or HotU are needed but of course will work. After installation youll find an additional last four chest pieces (#52 through #55) in the armor and clothing Appearance section adhering to 3rd ed. PHB elven chain and dwarven plate armor specs (mithral chainmail and full plate respectively) and adamantine full plate and breastplate or chainmail.
New for v1.2.3 are the inclusion of ShadowHawk Great Helms, fixes for a couple of bugs no one ever complained about, a fifth armor type coded, and a bit of help getting ShadowHawk materials to quickly and easily merge with both the CEP and PRC, including being able to use spells that target weapons on Outlaw and CEP weapons and as of v1.2.4 weapons feats for those weapons.
Hey Shadowhawk I was wondering...do you think you could add in the dnd stats for all the types of armor(copper, bronze, iron, ect...)? I dont know how long that would take and understand if you do not want to...i dont now how much work im asking you to do so forgive me if im being really stupid :) Just for my mod i wanted to have all the basic types of armor in it and i kinda dont know what the stats are for them...and if it is possible(asuming you will do this) have every type of armor use those stats( Example- copper chain, copper fullplate, copper halfplate, ect....) im sure many others could put this to use as well.....Sharing the mind, body and soul of Shinkutsu.
OMG! I just looked through that site that you post stuff and found pictures of the armor you made and...WO! That is amazing i love the helms.....Please keep making more!Sharing the mind, body and soul of Shinkutsu.

(mental note to self watch what key is press to spell a word , i mispelled 3 words in this whole thread before i hit the post button)the choices you make today, you will sleep with tonight and then deel with consquences tommorow.
fatgato:
Glassteel is in the long awaited Weapons Components update. However, the focus of my armor fix is about adding types w/different base stats. I dont have any plans to add to the available armor appearances.
merentha:
No. It needs to be installed as noted in the README.
steelfiredragon:
If you can point me to something online (I don't have any copies of Dragon Magazine) that defines spidersilk armor as 3rd Ed. I'll happily add it.
So to get this to work in multiplayer just put the modified 2da in a hak pak is enough?-Merentha

shadowhawk
the spidersilk armor in dragon mag issue 298 came out before 3.5 , i think, and its the same as in underdark handbook. anywhoo im off to download agian......the choices you make today, you will sleep with tonight and then deel with consquences tommorow.
steelfiredragon:
I looked into what youd suggested. Spidersilk is in the WotC Underdark book, but it was published in October 2003 and is 3.5 ed. Chainmail of the Celestial Battalion is, again, as you mentioned in the Epic Handbook, but is a specific armor with specific magical properties rather than an armor type. They would be interesting to do, but theyre beyond the intended scope of this hak. Im still working on my weapons sets (putting in that fourth color, some bows...)
Mathurin:
This hak has to be installed to actually work. Placing the resources into your override directory will prevent your game from crashing if you enter it with a character with one of the new armors equipped if the module doesnt have the hak installed. If you dont have it installed however, the results are as you describe.
Its the scripts that get used when this hak is installed that allow you to equip the new armors with the correct AC. Its the custom TLK file that has the correct text show up in game if its associated with the module.

I seem to be having trouble with this hak. I have yet to try adding it to a module since Im playing through the original campaigns and adding a hak to a bioware campaign is a +blocked+. Instead I took the items you provided in the resourses file (thanks by the way, much easier than using the hak utility) and put them in the override file. When I create a piece of armor using these torsos they appear as armor but when you try and equip them they wont work. When you examine them it says projectile trap under item type rather than armor as it should. I don't know how difficult this would be to fix but if you could take a look Id appreciate it. If you don't understand what I mean email me and Ill send you a screen capture to get the idea. Oh and one other thing they appear with armor class 9 rather than the appropriate numbers. Maybe you mean that, I don't know. Anyway, thanks in advance if you have time to look at this.

steelfiredragon:
Also, TLK files can only be used from the "NWN\TLK" directory and must be associated with a module to have its text show up in game. I do wish that you could place one in override for global effect, but that's not the case (yet).
steelfiredragon:
Putting the resources into your override directory in this case is to prevent the game from crashing if you load a character wearing the new armor types into a module that doesn't have this installed. The PC will have AC at least 2 too high if they're allowed to equip the armor at all in that case, however.

dumb question.
if i want it to work in all modules, putting in the other files into the overide directory I know, but do i put the dlg file in there as well???
