The issue with overwriting the rats is a new one bechause NwN files have been updated since the hak was made.
It would not be a problem before, it is now.
This small hak should fix that.
About the invisible spiders, its probably a 2da and creature blueprint problem.
Take a look at the readme.

I never had the issue with overwriting the rats and I used both.
I do have two users who the spiders show up as invisible for in RTS - Harvest of Souls. That is two people out of several hundred.
I don't know what caused it.
Had them uninstall
Reinstall
Repatch
Use Critical Rebuild Patch
etc.
No effect.
Any ideas?
