Ever wanted to create a resident evil style atmosphere ? Look no further... This hak adds 21 new blood placeables like bloodstains and bloodtrails. You can also add blood to your walls at different heights. This was my first venture into custom graphics (i usually script) and i hope you like it.

Joshua: erf's dont work if you edit/move the 2da entries if you combine haks. So you'll have to create the placeables entries in the palette under custom and select the appearances.
The part were you say you see nothing in the window under the name blood_splat1 etc. just rotate the "blank image" 90 degrees and youll see it, since the splat is flat and can only be seen in a 180 degree arc and is by default faced square to you!

I had the same problem as Joshua, but was also able to fix it after tinkering around a bit. So something is causing it not to save right...
Good stuff, btw.

Mmmmmmmm! Fresh blood! Thanks for the stains. Much needed.

Yeah, it's there. I got it to work - I had to open the .hak with the hak editor and re-save it. I think this is some sort of funky SoU bug... You'll probably want to look into it.
As for the stains themselves, nice work; they'll make the murder mystery I'm working on much more realistic.

i just applied the hak and imported the erf to a fresh module without a prob..
you sure you put the SplatterPack.hak into your /hak directory ? that's about the only thing that comes to my mind....
Posted by Joshua Campbell ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-08-05 13:05:00
I really want to use this, but it doesn't work for me. When I import the hak and erf, the new placeables appear in the palette, but have no graphics. When I edit them, nothing is entered into the "appearance type" box. Scrolling through the box reveals no new appearences.
The module I tried to use this in had no other haks loaded. I've tried re-downloading the file, but it doesn't work. I'm using an unpatched version of SoU. Does this happen for anyone else?

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I have been getting soooo sick of using the same ol' bloodstain over and over again. Good job!

Aw, yeah! This is perfect for the section in my up-coming module involving the slaughter of a bunch of townspeople in the castle dungeons...
GREAT JOB! They're perfect!

Nice work.
also, if your first 3 lines of nwnplayer.ini are
[Game Options]
Memory Level=2
Memory Access=2
then all corpses explode in a bloddy mess!
(I think, I could be wrong)

Ok alright, thanks
I'm working hard on hakpaks and forgot this window is standard in the tileset ; )
Posted by Knat ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-08-04 03:50:00
@nova:
that's a standard window from the interior tileset, nothing special... that thing infront is just part of a lightsource placeable hanging from the ceiling.
Posted by Knat ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-08-04 03:49:00
thankx, i'm glad you all like it.
use it in any way you want. just put several bloodstains together if you want to form one large blood-area (like the big ones under the corpses in the screeny)
@lupin iii:
should work well together with your zombies ;)

Nice work Knat, thanks.
Just one question :
what's that window in the large screeny you posted for this pak ?
Posted by SicJake ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-08-03 21:51:00
Fantastic lol I love these. Actually my mod is a bit of a murder mystery, I needed some nice blood splatters for the crime scene. Fits perfect with what I need.
