Is this hak works on sou?
If not, can you (the maker) make an update for sou?

Posted by Scythus ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-11-07 15:55:00
Oops soory for the last one pressed enter too soon.

Anyway i would like to try your hak but when i try to extract the file it says it is corrupted so perhaps you could re-upload it?

It looks good, so I hope I get a chance to use it!

Dazeal,

Thanks Redcap for yoru post.

I am having problems with redcaps 3.1 and SOU. I have SOU and his player's pack is messed up.

Anyone know who I can fix it? It is only the weapons I am having problems with, the armor and heads work fine.

Thanks,
Dazeal

Thanks alot Tyr, I've just begun dabbling in .2da files my self. Let me ask you, would I have to change any .mdl files? The last time I did this I added some tattoo's to one of lisa's pack it it worked fine but I had to change the .mdl's because they had a reference to their spot on the item wizard.

Now that I type this I suppose this may be a diffirent animal all together but I like too cover my bases so I thought I'd ask.

P.S. I like the idea of werechickens! You should just leave it be, and create werepenguins and werecow to compliment this. ;)

and how i fix the polimorph of my werewolf and vampire sub races?

its broken and the subrace rings from other races is not working too

Posted by Tyr ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-07-13 09:26:00
Forgot to mention, all of the bioware base .2das are in your /source directory!

Posted by Tyr ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-07-13 09:23:00
I keep on getting emailed about this, but I cant help you because my .2da files include stuff from my specific module so it wont work in yours. However im going to give you a little lesson on how to index a .2da

We will use apperance.2da for the first example.

Open it with notepad and disable wordwrap.

Prior to 3.10/SoU apperance.2da had about 300 entires (each entry has a number on the left), but SoU increased this number to 400 overwriting many custom HAKs including the pc pack. What you need to do is "reindex" the lines of +blocked+ in the apperance.2da in the pc pack hak to have what is in the apperance.2da in /source except with the custom lines added to the bottom with there number changed to be above 400. I reccomend using 1000 or above- so this is immune for the next expansion or whatever. Basically paste whatever is from the /source in your nwn folder and then copy the custom lines from the pc pack hak to the bottom. You will need to rename the index on the left to something above 400.

Use nwhak.exe in utils to open up the pc pack hak.

You will need to reindex every .2da found in the pc pack hak , if you have other HAKs you will need to delete the .2das in that HAK and then add the custom lines to the "master .2da" which would in this case be pc pack .2da.

Once you open the pc pack you will realize this is a lot of work- and it is, if you modify it plz upload it here, I cant upload mine because I have much more stuff added to my "master apperance .2da and others."

Thanks, hope that helped.
